    my heads up display wil lturn on and work good for about a minute or two and then slowly fade off until it is gone. any body know ehat the problem could be?

    The most common problem is the poor solder joints on the light load sensor. All you need to do (easier said than done) is to pull out the HUD driver, clean off the conformal coating on the PCB and re-solder the leads to the photo sensor.
    The GPs are long gone...

    Yes. Just re-flow the solder on the pins of the sensor. It looks like a small silver can with a clear some on the top. You can see the sensor inside.
    The GPs are long gone...
