I can't think of anything that would cause that. The entire knuckle assembly would have to move back multiple inches. Meaning the axle, strut, sway bar, everything.... Even if they sold you the wrong tie rod ends, that couldn't have happened.

Having just taken apart both front knuckle assemblies on my car, and did rack and pinion, I don't what you could have done man.

Im interested in how the struts look? Are they perfectly vertical or leaning? How are the front strut towers? Are they rusted enough to give that much?
