I suspect it can get pretty beat up in icy situations. I would have tried it with mine if it were warmer so the glue would set up. Seems odd they are design to just lay in there stretched up to the bracket . Nice job getting it back on the road.
    Hiya MnRedGP,

I tried understanding your quote above, but I have to beg to differ about with your idea.

I am not quite sure where in the "mount" you are referring to place the ABS coupler, but the line leading from the hub to the ABS coupler is only about 3" long. There is not a lot of play to move it anywhere else on the wheel or strut mount assembly. Where the metal bracket is located it is up and away from the CV Boot, its unfortuately in direct line of fire if the CV boot blows out, like mine did. I just cleaned up the grease and reconnected it without issues.

I personally wouldn't recommend using epoxy or RTV to mount the coupler anywhere else, but where it is.

Thats fine I didn't explain it well enough. And this may not help. But if the ABS wires were attached or glued to the aluminum strut starting from where it emerges from the hub bearing to the edge of the strut before it attaches the to the bracket. This way it is held away form the CV shaft where it enters the hub. Even though the shaft is tapered as it enters it looks kinda close to me and ice build up could snag that wire and pull it off the bearing. I even thought it would be interesting if they would have milled a path from the bearing to the bracket for the wires to be tucked in and protected from the rotating shaft. The coupler and bracket seem ok the way they are just the short wires strung between the Bearing and the bracket bugs me. Hopefully mine won't fail again but if I need to get in there again I may try this. I can't be the only one who thought of this and I realize once you glue it in it would need to clean out upon the next hub swap out or worse yet you JB weld it in and it will need to be ground out. Just an idea.
