there is a technical service bulletin regarding terminal fretting that is a major issue and even becomes an issue on the can bus and serial data lines.
There are like eight or nine connections between the relay and the fuel pump in the rear and the rewire should fix your issues.
Make sure you pull out your radio and HVAC and bypass the connector behind there with the fat red wire that feeds the blower fan controller and the heated seats... cut the red wire on either side of the connector even if the connector has not melted yet and butt connect them directly to each other
