Just finished cleaning my TB and put on a new Felpro gasket as well. Last time was 40k miles ago, it was pretty filthy...as expected.

Wonder what interval you guys use as regular maintenance for TB cleaning?

    Every year wouldn't hurt.

I'll do it when it starts to surge.

Usually when pulling into garage after braking and slow crawl....so yeah that could be not good.

At stop lights with brakes pressed....another not good scenario.
So that's my cue to clean it pronto

Is there an Idle Air control Valve to clean on this model? (08 GP 3.8 base) I didn't see one, or anything that looked similar to an IAC. Just that little 3/8" ID tube that runs from the intake to the upper plenum area, which appears to be a bypass, which I think is whole purpose of the IAC but I'm no genius.

Nope, it's all electronic. The TB blade itself is what is helping control idle airflow.

I usually clean mine every other oil change, or about 10k miles. I have the stupid wizaired intake and the ducting is falling apart so I will probably not touch it again until I figure out a better way to rerun the duct.
