https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mQMM7ME8HUE I don't even see it lmao, Ill take to take it off
I might do it tommarow, Ill probably end up doing it tonight just to get it done, but yeah thats what iv'e been seeing, ill keep you guys updated
Iv'e also noticed that there's a lot of oil down there, i'm willing to bet it might be coming from the oil pan or something, ill check it soon.
that is classic oil pan leaking.
see how you bolts all have a drip of oil on them? you could try cleaning it up first, then take one bolt out at a time, and put thread sealant on the threads and put the bolt back in.
ive got a feeling its the bolts leaking more so then the gasket its self. the bolts go right up and through the block, so oil can splash on the bolts threads and seep out.
my pan looked just like that on my old engine, new one got all new gaskets, the pan i rtv'ed both sides and used thread sealant, its bone dry for over a year now.
The shiny silver shaft you saw the end of is the one with the starter gear on it. The gear is just out of sight where you were at. Maybe I used a small screwdriver first. Look at any picture of a starter and you'll get where it is. All you had to do though is like SD said, undo the bolts and see if that rattles around. Guess I shoulda just said "Replace starter!" and left it at that. You had about half the work done just then lol. Get a starter and an hour and just go for it man.
Welp, I got her off and it's time to get a new one! Ill try to clean up all that oil and gunk too, hopefully thatll fix my low oil pressureIll update you guys again, thanks for the everyone!
Could anyone also link me to a 3800 series 3 manual? I wanna know pretty much everything about the motor![]()
