I guess it only matters if you have mods done. Huh?
I've seen a 4.3v drop in power to the pump through the factory wiring on a car I was driving daily. The wiring is way too small to carry power to the pump causing fuel delivery issues even on stock cars at higher rpm. Most daily driven cars have this drop and no one ever knows. But when you start watching the data, you see it starting to run lean and the injector duty cycle spikes to try to compensate. Terrible design. The Racetronix rewire is what I used to combat it and it worked great.
I can understand it on a rising rate system as you add pressure you increase the need for current. The funny thing is that I see none of that on my 05' which is fixed pressure. My pressure remains the same throughout a run and my system never leans out even on E85. Then again the car is bone stock except for the tune to run E85
