So i was doing more reading and some people say to torque the head bolts an extra 30 degrees in the middle
Sent from my LG-D851 using Tapatalk
i did the extra 30 on the long bolts.
Well the write up i read said 37 ft lbs plus 120 degeees and that was it so thats what i did. Fingers crossed

there was some talk on the extra 30, newer years dont get it iirc.
Only '97 and '98 heads get the extra 30 degrees of torquing. So if you've got '99+ heads, you don't need that extra torquing.
Ya i think it said 99 and up didnt need it

Well i know there not 97 heads but idk anything else. They could be 98

yeah, you should have done it while the head was off like i said... air hammer is your best bet now from under the car.
Is it possible to just use a regular hammer while the head is off?
Ya but im not gonna take the headers off lol i should have listened to scotty i just forgot and didnt forsee it being an issue 😥

its tough to to with the header in place. air hammer is your only chance.
I got a 700ft lb impact. It wouldnt take the crank bolt off so then tried to use the redneck method and that didnt break it either sooo now im out of ideas

you got enough air pressure?
hows the battery? it in good shape? starter trick rips the bolt free every time ive seen it or heard of it being done.
take the plugs out if they are in, the engine will spin faster too. leave some slack between the breaker bar and the jack stand or what ever your letting it rest on so it can hit the jack stand and maybe break it free.
I got my lady car and "jumped" my car and tried it again.. Nothing

may be get it running, then try again letting it fire up if it will.
