Looking for advice on the best for your money big brake kit for my 2000 gtp?

Don't buy that **** from ZZP spend half or more of what they charge and piece that crap together yourself.
GXP are 12.7 rotors so technically yea they should be better but from a price point either Fbody or newerish Impala is the best bang for your buck. Unless of course you get a deal on GXPs

Yea I'm with you on that I'm starting to not be a very big fan of zzp but I want all new parts... how would you go about doing this? Buy the brakes for a 2006 or newer impala from the parts store? Then I have to pay core. The brakes on my car are new they just suck I even have ebc drilled and slotted rotors with ceramic pads...
what he said ^^^^^^ you can get junk yard brakes, and rebuild them for like 15 bucks iirc.
or reman from the parts store, called a loaded caliper at most stores. comes with hardware and the bracket and caliper.
dump your old brakes in the box for the core and hope they dont say nothing about it lol
Buy from advance.. Order online.. Use coupon code.. Pick up or ship if needed. If you have to ship makes sure they orders over $75 for free shipping.. Add sh*t if needed then return in store if you don't want the extra stuff. Buy from let's say 06 ish Impala or 2000ish Fbody. Swap.. Throw your old brakes in the box and take it back. Guess what they won't have a clue what the calipers suppose to look like and all they're going to do is send it out so just throw your old ones in there and bam you get the core charge backcheap upgrade. ZZP does a really good job of marketing there products as there own when truth is 9/10s most parts can be purchase locally for much cheaper.
Damn it Scotty !!!

Okay thanks yea I know about those coupons codes at advanced been using them for years save so much money lol. But if I buy 2006 impala calipers they will just bolt right on my car there's no modification? I'd buy some rotors cuz they are 12" I'd like to find some drilled and slotted ones. Do you guys use zzp's stainless braided brake like cuz they need to be longer?
They don't need to be longer you can just bend the bracket out a tad bit for the lines. It's your choice you can use there lines or stick with the stock rubber ones. Yea the Impala calipers bracket don't need to be tapped and drilled like the Fbody but impalas = steel vs Fbody that are aluminum. Both are still good.

some one said stock lines fit, but the ss lines are nice.
all you need to make f bodys work is the sleeves for the caliper bolt. 12 bucks.
this link has full parts list pics and links with the part # of the sleeves you need. http://www.regalgs.org/topic/54303-f...brake-upgrade/
^ bingo
Or just tap and drill for the correct size. It's all up to YOU what you'll like to do.

Okay sweet do you guys think tapping and drilling them is stronger then using a sleeve? Considering it'd be a bigger bolt. Does anyone know the drill and tap size? So I just looked the calipers up at advanced auto and I have to order I definitely want the aluminum f body calipers if I get them from a 2002 camaro those are it right? It seems the v6 and v8 (ss) models are the same. What brand rotors do you recommend?
im using the sleeves for like 5 years now. had the rotors off a few time since, zero issues.
im looking at new rotors and pads myself. people seem to like brake motive, http://www.ebay.com/itm/390818205528...%3AMEBIDX%3AIT
Stronger? Who knows. I say the bolt method without sleeves but both have been done several times with no negative effect. If you have the ability to drill and tap the threads I say do it but if you gotta go spend more then what the sleeves cost say go the sleeve route it's all up to you and what your comfortable with. For rotors I've used r1 concept in the past but I would probably just say get whenever local like Centric or something.

that how to i linked has a set listed.
i got my whole set used, lines and all. never ordered a set. still have to put the rear lines on i got sitting on a shelf for like 5 years now lol
im not sure if i recall anyone using the brake motive camaro rotors or not. but i know they use them for w body replacements and no one ever said they sucked that i know of.
