I like how these trannys have a safety feature to prevent it from actualy going into first gear when at a high speed, I know my previous car, a 1991 Olds 88 didn't have that and could be dropped into first at any speed

then i would say your car is just flat out faster. wouldent say it has to do with manual shifting the tranny.

trannyman does them. i think its tripple edge performance on the vendors here. i dont know how pricing compares to others, and really i never hear about any other trannies than his and i never hear anything but great things about them. im sure ill have one of his street/strip tranny one day.

well when i first got the car(december 2008) i noticed a small whining noise around turns when i would speed up from a dead stop. then when it got very cold out i started my car in the morning and it whined extremely loud. only for a second tho. then after a night of drivin around, the next morning i started it and the noise was there for 5min straight. now it whines in park, nuetral, the 2nd half of first gear, the 1st half of second gear, and shifting from 2nd to 3rd. i talked to the guy at Milzy Motorsports and he basically said that i need to rebuild my trans.Triple Edge Performance - Home Page

i would take it easy on it then, shoot trannyman a pm. i have tap shift on my comp g and riding around dicking around with tap shift romping on it, my tranny has taking a beating from it. lock up acts a little funny at 40mph now ans sometimes its a little ruff going into a lower gear from a roll when you hit the gas. it hesitates then hits it kinda hard. think my converter has taken a beating. ill be talkiing to tranny man soon enough.
remember its a family sedan and the trannies are not built for all out performance. i would take it easy on the old gal if you want the tranny to stick around. yea i romp on it but you gotta be nice with the gear changes and differentals.

yeah im really babying it now. this morning it was whining the whole way to school. thru every gear and even when i stopped. but thanks, imma send trannyman a pm

Our weak tranny's can't handle what you put it through. You will probably need a tranny real soon

yeah its sounding like it. it whines so loud. the tranny fluid is almost black. smells like the clutches are burnt too.
