So I have been chasing down a stutter and it's getting to the point where swapping parts isn't cost effective anymore.

As stated in the video, I did new acdelco wires, new plugs, new throttle position sensor. I recently changed the fuel level sensor but not the whole fuel pump. I didn't do the fuel filter yet but I did buy one.

I also bought one new coil and tried it in all three positions. Next I am thinking ignition control module but I don't want to buy that blind since it's over 100 bux.

    Any help is greatly appreciated.

I cleaned it, but it wasn't very dirty. But yeah that's another thought, also another part well over $100.

Unplug it before starting the car. Then see if the stuttering continues

So unplug it, then drive with it unplugged? Thank you these are the exact types of tips I'm looking for. I will try that in a little bit here.

used icm's are cheap enough. most go for 20 bucks used around here. i cant hear it, but im sure you can feel it. ho wmany miles are on it?

does it feel real weak when you get on it? the cel ever flash when its floored? if so maybe the cats clogged up.

No cel at all. It has 85000 miles and had the cat replaced at around 60k with an aftermarket one, and it did trip the cel but we backed it out and it's been off. I guess it could be clogged but there's no smell or anything.

could be the icm acting up on ya. or the wires to it maybe got damaged. is the ground for the icm hooked up? it bolts to the bracket there.

I will take a look. When I did the fuel level sensor I removed the relay for the fuel pump to relieve fuel pressure, so maybe I knocked something loose when removing the fuse panel cover? I'll check thanks.

did it have this issue before you changed the level sensor? or it started afterwards?

Pretty sure it started after the fuel pump, but not totally sure.

you can check your fuel pressure, but it would run like piss or barely run if the pump was bad. misfires are ignition related most of the time.

That's a great question, as I have the hard start after the car has warmed up symptom of a bad crank sensor, could my current issue stem from a bad sensor as well?

crank sensor is possible. seen a regal thread where it was missing from the c/s.

the hard starting could be a dirty TB.

So just an update if anyone cares, under the advisement of the shop foreman at the honda dealer I work for, I removed the fuel rail and sprayed it and the fuel injectors with electronics cleaner. I put it back together and the stutter was gone. I sold the car a few days later so I was happy.
