If it were a CVT I I think I wouldn't have even given it a 2nd look. It is the 5 speed. Its pretty peppy for what it is. I think its rated around 168/168. I haven't pushed it, but it seems to handle well.

I'm back where I belong in a 5 speed Mitsubishi powered machine. LOL

Mine you could just blip the key to "start" and it would fire right up most of the time, my favorite thing about it. If had been sitting for a few days it'll crank over once and fire up.

Now everything I own has the eletronic control over the starter, they want it to spin several times before the engine fires.

new cars are messed up, at least gm. turning the key back wont stop the starter, its like you hit a button and it will crank till it starts, or the battery dies. i dont like that one bit.

on the other side of the coin, you can turn the key to start when its running and the starter wont work, so no more dummy screeching sounds from that lady trying to start a running car lol

The Toyota forklifts we have at work make you go back to off to get the starter to spin again.... so rare screech, but not impossible.

You don't have to hold it in the start postion on the newer GM's, just go to start and it'll do it all for you until it starts.

You can still stop the starter by just turning the key off, you'd have to be pretty dumb to just let it crank forever.

not my 03 or my friends 05. if the battery is weak and its slow cranking its stuck cranking till the battery dies. been there with both the 03 and 05. turning the key back does nothing. it keeps cranking.

I hate that my 06 starter is controlled by the pcm, really bugs me. I like my 02 for the responsiveness and that it only cranks when I want it to. But remote start is nice..

Noticed a very small rear differential leak on the wife's car. It's still under warranty so it'll get sent over to the dealership probably after I get back from training next March.

It doesn't drip, but it's wet and it's not water.

Don't have a weak battery then or remove the key. Or it's a switch problem, removing the key cuts the power to the engine/acc.

I've never had that issue with the 2006, 2010 and 2012 trucks I've owned. I've pulled the fuel pump fuse on many GM trucks to run the rail dry, then crank them until I wanted them to stop. Removing the key always stops the starter.

try this out, turn the key to crank for a split second, once its cranking let the key hit run, it will crank till it fires up with out you touching the key. its about impossible to bump the starter anymore. the 05 and 15 both do this. i was driving them both for the last month daily.

You know I already said that right?

That's all I ever do, bump it to the start position and just let it start itself. You can still stop it from spinning if it wasn't going to fire by just turning the key off. That was my point.

Alright. I had to add my cold start video. Keep in mind... This vehicle has been sitting for over a week now, and it's mid December.
