Nice. How long did it take for the heater core? Mine spew'd its guts a month ago and its on my to do list. Car still smells. FML. Where did you get the core from? Rock Auto? Locally?

heater core didnt short out the fan, its not close enough. you need the new cowl deflector installed. its a 5 dollar part. aka the cowl i sleaking on the fan when it rains or you wash it.

heater core can be a 4 hour job easy if its your first time.

I replaced mine. If I can do it, you won't have any trouble.

Does the dash have to come out or can you snake it out the bottom? Also how good did your back feel afterwards?

Just the console, hush panels etc, no dash. All the work happens below the actuators if that helps. I knew it was a fight (and it was) so did not take pics or do write-up. Unhooking heater hoses for me meant splitting the ends. Removing the core means being brutal with the adjacent plastic pieces but hey I got it out and back together. As you may recall, I run without passenger seat. So at least I can lay on my side to work under dash. Otherwise being the cruster that I am I'd surely snap in half!

Yesterday I towed the camaro out to Safelite, with replacement glass and an agreement we'd made. Well I got my replacement glass, and their glass, and sealing buttons, and they gave me my money back for the glass/installation, and now I have to sell my replacement hatch.

    But the truck looks good?

ill never understand why people load the car so far forward on the trailer beating the tar out of the truck when it could be centered over the axles and let the trailer mostly carry the weight.

Because whomever designed this trailor put the mounting points far too forward in the rear. It's almost under the back tires. This is a friend's trailor though so unless I'm willing to modify it under my own budget or replace it, there's nothing I can really say about it.

I loaded it at 11pm, while being eaten alive by mosquitos. This was not something that came to mind at that moment, although it is probably what will happen next time.

You're tellin me. Oh, the grand prix needs both front wheel bearings now that I've replaced most of the driver side front suspension, and most this money will go towards that. My friend was recently given a camper trailor so I'm helping him restore that as well, and the camaro appears to be leaking rear diff fluid. FML.

trailers rule, camping and crap is always a blast. i hope inside is not as weathered as the outside. paint is cheap next to a gut and rebuild.
