I'm thinking switch but why it would work without load from the blower I don't quite understand.

Electrical problems my friend lol. That's actually a pretty identifiable high resistance circuit though, something I've seen in electrical diagnosis quite a bit.

I believe the answer to this is because of the worn contacts on the switch. Read this.... http://www.clubgp.com/newforum/tm.as...heck=465710715

My switch has been fine for the past 6 months, but has started acting up again, so if the rain holds off tomorrow, I want to get it changed out.

Oh, and make sure you do this..... http://www.clubgp.com/newforum/tm.as...mode=1&smode=1

I might try the relay for the time being. If it's only doing it under load that should help (for now) and because then I'm hacking into the switch harness and not main car harness which is OK by me lol. Plus new one is $80, eff that.

When I was researching the ignition switch last year, I did find that a lot of people just did the relay and were fine. I say go for it.

I'm thinking to splice into that wire cut some insulation back mid wire wrap new wire around exposed wire, solder them, wrap in tape. I'll have to pickup some supplies tomorrow.

I paid $47 I think with the advance coupon. Bwd.

Changed my s/c oil. Old stuff was brown, new was clear. After running the new stuff is mostly clear, lightly yellow or tan in color. Took almost both bottles.

Warmed it up first, took it to a 55 mph road and took the same two Michigan turns a few times and floored it to like 65 each time. First time driving it in like 3 weeks. The resonator leaks bad now, and it misses at idle a little bit when you start it warm. Needs a tune-up, still on the original plugs and wires. And the abs keeps activating randomly. Got a RF sensor circuit code.

I paid $66US for my Delco switch back in 2014. Glad I got it back then as our dollar was at par with yours. Today that same switch would have cost me $92 CDN.

Yikes! RockAuto wants $97US for that switch.

I was looking and it was 80 shipped, amazon wants 110. Maybe being Canadian is messing it up for you lol. I have to order tie rods for the monte so I threw in a 4 pin relay and some flag connectors and it only cost me $4 more. Coupon codes are awesome. Then I have to get some wire and more connectors at Menards because I lost all mine someplace.

And that is better than what it was; 30% just a few weeks ago. I have a PO box in Blaine, WA, so I don't pay for shipping to Canada. Me a smart shopper. LOL
