It talks crap sometimes but it doesn't lie.
we dropped of my friends exploder at the shop because it leaks, (they did the trans swap on it). guy washed his hands of it, states its a defective tranny. fluid is coming out the vent.
so google tells me 9 times out of ten when your pos ford leaks from the bell housing right after a trans service its over filled, and then it blows out the vent.
so go to pick it up guy tells me the trans is filled properly, they fill it from a plug on in the side. right then and there i know this guy dont have a clue, i look at my pal and say lets go.
got home jacked the whole truck up nice and level, then pulled the plug out of the bolt in the pan, and 3 f ing quarts of fluid came out.
just a bit over filled. wiped it all down, road test with hwy, park it look at it, no leaks. parked it over ply wood, still no drips a hour later.
and the rear vent line is off the tranny, so 2 strikes on this assholes install, vent line off, and over filled the tranny, and hes got the balls to says its defective. you sir are defective.
tomorrow when the pos trucks ice cold we'll deal with that vent hose, its a tight fit and the exhaust is right there.
over filled fluid.VVVVVVVV nice huh?

Did some stuff to the 06 to get it ready. Cleaned the grounds and battery terminals, gutted the intake box, cleaned the maf and tb.
Oil change and painted calipers blue

Over the past few days, thanks to picking apart 2 GPs at the junkyard for parts...
- Reconnected rear sway bar end links. They were unbolted from the struts when the car was bagged in 2003 and me, being an idiot, never bothered to see if they would actually work with the air suspension. Lo and behold the car lays down just fine with them reconnected.
- Replaced the rear valve cover (which had a hole in it) and the gaskets/grommets. It was leaking oil.
- Replaced the coolant overflow bottle, the factory one had been painted black (I don't remember why honestly)
- Replaced the trunk lid shocks
- Made and installed overlays for the GTX badge I have on the dash and the front PONTIAC lettering on the plate filler.
- Rewired the emergency switch for my door poppers (Shaved door handles look cool but are a PITA)
- Started working on a console trim piece with some fiberglass. Filled in the big cubby hole and the one where the heated seat switch would go, and am going to have a molded in spot for my tank pressure gauge and my Accuair touchpad. (Grabbed a console lid from the junkyard to keep from messing up my nice painted one)
I have my last car show of the year tomorrow, and after that's over with I'm going to start tearing into it to install HUD and re-do my trunk install for what has to be about the 900th time. Going with something simple this time around.
Trying a new product on my dad's car.

Yesterday I picked up a new TPMS sensor to replace my one dead one. I tracked my tires and they are set to be here Tuesday. Got a text from my buddy and he repaired both my damaged wheels so I will have one extra one in the end. Plan to go see him Tuesday to get new tires mounted and replace the dead TPMS.
Need to make an appointment to get an alignment too.
Nothing exciting just knocking out some maintenance.
New front hubs on Thursday
Picked up a set of cv axle on Friday in hopes to knock it out sometime this weekend. Pulled passenger side out and compared.. Apparently they gave me the wrong one, went back and go figure the right one isn't in stock and won't be till Tuesday. Non of the other stores had it in stock either.

Cleaned it up for a show and found my exhaust leak/rattle. One of my tips has broken loose at the bottom where it connects to the muffler. So, guess I'll have something else to fix pretty soon.
my car needs to be clayed badly. So that will be happening soon too.
Replaced my intercooler hoses to get better flow. Torqued my supercharger down, I hadn't checked it since I put the intercooler in.
GT- replace right rear hub. GTP- wash job. GPJ- food run. Might scoot a tire again later, variety is the spice of life as long as its a "large race" (grand prix).
I was looking forward to do nothing today but watch some football. That was shot in the ass when my brother called me. Long story short we started removing the transmission out of his wife's Trailblazer. We actually got a lot further than I thought we would tonight. Only thing that should be left now is bellhousing bolts and dropping the trans and that should be done tomorrow evening
We found a rebuilt one with a warranty for $950. He is going to try to get it on Tuesday. We have fingers crossed we can have it back together and running by Thursday. If he wasn't in school right now we'd probably be done tomorrow. LOL
Was gonna do coolant elbows on my 06, when I realized it had plastic lim gaskets....ugh. Here we go again. Doing the full job from the lim up including vc gaskets.
