Thanks IDJ. I consider myself lucky; 2 very light rear-enders over 7 years, I'll take that over a major crash any day.
Cool. That was to be my project on the Bronco, until I found that the B-pillars were completely rotted. Bye bye Bronco. LOL

Washed and waxed my Prix today. Took a stroll in my dad's 2007 Grand Prix...246,387 miles on that. All oem. The control arm bushings have separated from the control arms on that so that's on his to do list. Only had it in the shop once under warranty because there was a leak where the the tranny mated to the engine. Faulty gasket.
Re: What did you do to your boat today? Vol 2.0
About a year after we moved into our house, the neighbors kid got his first car (a dodge stratus 4 banger) and license. He's into that stage where he thinks it's a built race car. I see that thing up on jack stands more than on the road for some reason. It's not in bad shape. Recently he got a decent exhaust leak, so now he floors it when leaving and hits the gas so hard that it pops and sputters and tries to stall. I wouldn't be surprised if that thing sees 6k rpm when he does it. Anyway, lucky me, I seen him with a full on fart can with a 5" tip or so. *facepalm*. Why me lol. I'd like to drill a hole in his oil pan.

Last night I installed my cabin air filter. Got the cover for preventing water from entering a few months ago. Had a bit of a mildew smell when turning off AC. Sprayed some AC pro vent and duct cleaner deodorizer into the blower intake at full fan speed with heater and ac on. Seems to have worked. Removed wiper arms and cowling covers and cleaned out debris from the intake screens on the covers and vacuumed out old leaves inside.

All from previous owner. Sits in the garage or doesn't get parked under trees now. Found a bunch of junk under the radiator when I swapped the motor out.
Re: What did you do to your boat today? Vol 2.0
I poured some Lucas PS stop leak into my leaking steering rack and took it on a several hour drive through twisty back roads. The level didn't drop and it quieted the noise down to almost nothing. For $10, I'm happy.
Re: What did you do to your boat today? Vol 2.0
topped off my gas tank with 91 octane and 2 bottles of Torco Accelerator, which should bring up the octane rating to 103.

Gave her some long overdue love.....
Replaced the plugs, wires, pcv, belt and flipped the dog bones.

For the first time in 4 years, she lives. Just in time to take it back down and send the VB back for adjustment, lol.

Re: What did you do to your boat today? Vol 2.0
You likes your red & white I see. Me too, high school colors, lol.
Re: What did you do to your boat today? Vol 2.0
I put in the new VB, unplugged the coil wire, the fuel pump relay, cranked it over for about 20 seconds, plugged everything back in and it fired like I drove it yesterday. Needed a new master cylinder and serpentine from setting so long, but other than that, it was fine. Even the remote start and AC work, lol. I do have to take the VB back off and send it back in for adjustment, but other than that. It's on the road again. Been in the family since new, and has 84k on the odometer now. It's nice to have a truck again...even if I am driving on 4 year old registration, haha.

It's on an incline, and the springs still have yet to settle, but it's so much better than it was.
Re: What did you do to your boat today? Vol 2.0
Looks good.
My plans tonight after work were to make stop at the store, then head home, make some quick dinner and try fixing my laptop. The car would have none of that! I stop at the store, get my things, now car won't start, just clicks. Lights and radio work, Aeroforce shows 11.8v. Call insurance company for a tow, but will have to wait close to 90 minutes. Can't do much, so I started waiting. 5 minutes later I'm figgity and start working on plan b. Call a buddy, we chat, he's on his way to help. Ended up hooking up some jumper cables, and after some charge time, the car started and was charging at 13.3-13.6v. Drive a block to a parts store, shell out $100 for a new battery, and head for home. Got the new battery in, and the car is back to normal. Skipped dinner and the past 1.5 hours spent screwing with this laptop. Oh what fun. LOL

Changed oil & filter in my 2005 Yamaha V-Star 1100 today. Oil = easy. Filter, not so much. Bastards hide it down low on the side of the motor, instead of straight out the bottom like my last 2 bikes. WTF. Had to remove brake pedal / floorboard, AND disassemble and remove ENTIRE exhaust (filter behind 2 covers after that). Got it all back together, then found that the front exhaust gasket had fallen out and rolled away (the rear one was well crusted in place), so remove and replace again. Real tuff to get that gasket in and pipe on w/o it falling out again. After a few tries, I put a couple dabs of anti-seize on the gasket to keep it up in the outlet while finessing front pipe back on. GRRRRR.
