Good to see everyone is still alive and well lol. Site seems to be striving as well. I miss my ole prix sometimes. The G is still alive and well https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/201...2afe232ab3.jpg

I've never had a V6 before, so I appreciate the power available compared to a 4 cylinder, even if it is from a little 3.1 liter. Just surprised me due to being such a boat of a car compared to displacement. I will never own another 4 cylinder, unless it's a big 4 with a turbo. But even then, maybe not lol.
fwd tends to spin rather easy, no matter the engine. my little 77 vw rabbit i had in HS would smoke 3 gears if done right lol
I couldn't get a front tire to spin on my 97 camry for the life of me, even in wet rain. But it's no so much the tire spin that was impressive to me, but once it hooked and how quickly it got to 60. When reading my post and thinking to yourself "hey man, it's just a Pontiac v6", I've only owned a 2 door Hyundai accent hatch and a 97 camry. So my comparison is lame lol
i had a pos rental monza 3 cyl econo car thing years ago on vacation, talk about not being able to get out of its own way, then add a car load of people. go carts were faster. if i had known that pos car was part of the package my ex got, id have told her to spend more money lol
My wife's car will legitimately surprise me sometimes. It's got about 295hp, 9 gears, all wheel drive, and weighs about 4,950 lbs. But I still can't get it to spin any of the tires, it just hooks.
Like, not even a chirp from the tires, just a straight up launch. They should have put this thing on the track during R&D. lol
AWD is why it just hooks. Although I used to do AWD burnouts on launched on my turbo Talon I had years back. Got that sumb!tch sideways on the launch more than once. :D
My dad always tells me stories of his 80 something Ram charger with a 4 barrel 360. All wheel drive donuts and burnouts all day.
my 03 gmc did them 4wd burn outs, in the mud or dirt or snow, or when the tires went good and bald lol for real tho, drifting a 4x4 in 4wd is something else. you need to learn all new behaviors that will happen too, lots of throttle control too.
I washed and waxed the car for the 2nd Sunday in a row.
Stood back, looked at it and I pulled off the honeycomb grills & cleaned every little hole on them.
Yeah...I need to get a life:th_nervous:
Same. '79 Plymouth Horizon. Typical Dodge, junk, but you couldn't kill that piece.
It was stalling every once in a while, ignored it. Wouldn't start one day. Popped the hood and the top 1/3 of the carb was laying on the exhaust hanging by a vac line. I was looking into the float bowl. All 5 screws had fallen out, at least 1 of em went down the intake. Found 2 of the screws and put it back on. Ran fine. Was driving the same car, Brakes made a pop, and the pedal got mushy. Drove it home. Right front brake rotor was as thin as a razor blade, and finally popped off the hub. Looked like a large split washer stuck in the pads.
Maybe not "proper maintenance", but because I'm jealous of GTP's and my junkyard just had a sale, I swapped out the stock cloth rear interior with leather including the side panels, and added bose speakers and deck.... just cause. :th_laugh-lol3: (sorry for the link, can't get photos to post)

Installed an inline trans cooler and flushed power steering. Only irreversible damage done was cutting original hose and air dam.

Got my 00 GT back from the tint shop. Looks good. Now I need to find the GXP wire harnesses so I can get the heated seats wired up for dual heated seats. I hope this goes well because I HATE wiring sh*t, lol. Once that is done then its time to reinstall the entire interior and get my hood painted. Hoping I can get it done before winter.

Fence post exhaust.
Confirmed fence post... It's shoved into the flange that the P.O. graciously mangled so it don't seal right anymore... -_-
yay exhaust leak....
And just look at that weld ;)
excuse the typos ;)
