Got another ticket today... for my exhaust. It's not even that loud.. looks like I'll be doing some exhaust work soon.
This arrived today.
I rerouted my IC lines.
working on undercoating the car, got the gas tank area done while the tank was out getting swapped and the straps getting painted as well as the filler neck.
Hope it works out for you. I tried rubberized undercoating, but 1/4 of it peeled. Other areas are holding strong still. I didn't trust it, it could peel and hold in salt/water so I just greased the whole underside. It still looks good after the winter. The cool thing is grease soaks into rust pretty well. After a while the top layer of grease gets coated with dust and looks like regular rubber undercoating lol.
These cars don't really have problems with the undersides rusting, get the body panels rust proofed like quarter panels and the inside of the door skins.
i built 5, 97-03 off boards today. have 3 working power supply's. all tested and working.
im looking for pin info on how to do a 04 up off board. i have the the plugs and the obd2 ports. just need to know whats to put to what.
for sale ad will be up tomorrow after they are all done and pretty looking.
I caved and bought ER Rockers, Intense Manly Retainers, Springs, Comp Cams Re-useable bolts from Bill. This summer's gonna be a little more fun lol.
Thanks again Bill!
Also drove in Bill's loaner BMW. Great car and better than Audi lol
Speaking of N/A... Got a new license tag for Betty the 99 GT today, and just took it for a spin. For having a wadded up control arm mount, she does purty good. I could start driving it to work as-is! Got fresh gas, air in tires, dug around and came up with all the bulbs. Stuck the radio faceplate back on and jammed. DP leaks a little (I nabbed the ZZP off it and re-used gaskets) A/C needs a charge, L36 needs fresh oil, tires needed air, etc. Must paint my old 40th front tag cover black to match, and install a LF splash shield yet. Its been sitting since July of 2013 and it sure pleases me to have that one back in action. Modified sig to come.
My trusty mount and I have a four year 60K daily driving history with a big gap in it, but we begin anew today. Now I have almost everything to make it a GTP, however. It is a 99 GT2 coupe. A 2002 GTP engine computer won't work, will it? Hah- now I can research top swaps too. This beats sitting on my duff, wounded.
Just unloaded parts into the house from the GT. What a mess of 40th parts! Swapped a tail and fog, painted and installed the license filler panel, drained the trunk, aimed lamps, etc. Set out a window reg for tomorrow. Maybe about to try her out in the dark.
Something looks different from last week though-
^ Hey wait a minute, he's a big fat phony! (family guy reference)
