Some racecars

Well if we've gone from racekar to racecar, thats closer. Its funny, we had a 66 Tempest with a straight six when I was little. And because it was loud and semi quick we called it "the race car" forever.
Speaking of such... that meet does sound like a great thing - for the generation after me lol. I liked Power Tour because we drove. You guys load up Woodward, didja? That would be cool, I prolly never will see that place though. Bah crowds anyhoo.
Went straight to the gas pump and back today in the ol GP and two vehicles drove over by my pump to ask about the car. I must sound robot with the answers but I do pour out thanks, appreciate it, and much obliged as much as I can. If it stood out a little less that would be OK with me but the passage of time keeps making it more strange to see.
People used to come up to me all the time at the gas station when I dded the Stealth. Some reactions were almost priceless and came from some of the most unsuspecting people.
Some of the best were an old biker dude on a Harley, a younger black kid who looked like he'd be more interested in a donked out Malibu, and an older black gentleman (probably in his 70's) giving me thumbs up and telling me he liked the car. LOL
There was an alarming number of chicks who bought new GPs back in the day, its not unusual for ladies ten or fifteen years my senior to approach with GP stories. Just like anyplace, you never really know who you're standing next to. Its rare, but when I see a ride I like exceptionally well I like to let the person know what it is I like about it. My taste is messed up and the GP was a fluke pretty much. Those Stealths can have a mean look, I remember them daze.
Swapped steering wheels today.. Old one was flakey and new to me perforated one is so much nicer.. Also went ahead and sanding some of the scuff out the plastic trim and painted.. Airbag got the same thing.
Swapped my fuel pump today to.. Fcuk those stupid lock rings! I need to grab one from the JY tomorrow mines was toast and I could get it back on to save my life!

Yup and yup.. Originally they where chrome which would of looked odd since everything my trim pieces are brushed aluminum. Didn't want to paint em so I figured wrapping them would last longer.

It's 3m dinoc.i was rather impressed, the texture is sort of cool and seemed like a way better vinyl then what I've come across before. This is my first time wrapping anything, took a few hours working on one piece usually every free night that I get. Using heat and several slit cut it your friend. On,: you lay it down yea you can pull it back up but the adhesive weakens quite a bit after that and it just doesn't stick like it did the first time around (heat helps). It's easy to overdo it worth the wrap so as long as you keep it to a minimal I think it's looks alright. Should last way longer compare to paint. The only prep I did was clean the old trim with degreaser and water and that's all.
