I broke it. Then I improvised...

BTW, duct tape will hold a belt together long enough to get at least 3 miles, if you limp it the entire way.

Damn that looks a ton better. Nice job on those HLs too.

Drove Grape to work and laid rubber near the shop. Lady taking my gas money said "fabulous car". Hmm, fabulous? Thanks. I reckon it is purple. A dude in a convertible Mustang zoomed up to scream at me going 40- HEY! Thats a sweet Grand Prix! Thanks and exchange of thumbs-ups then at the next light he stopped short and began the "I had a '74 GP..." story. Blah blah and um hey nice Mustang color. Thanks!

Glad the old heap still stays cool in traffic, I only saw about 205 deg and it was 90 and humid. Amazingly my auto electric fan install still works. Now if only I did, lol. Headers on RWD junk put a lot of heat on the floor so it was nice to make a store run in the air conditioned GTP when I got back.

Yeah 1000 and compound, then polish. I would recommend going to 1500 grit on these, the black part needs to be real nice or it will show sand marks.

Turned all the lights on my 06 to see how the reverse bar looked. Looks good. Then the incandescent lights got pretty dim and the dic started showing charging system failure, but it wasn't running. Must have killed the battery, I think I had the doors open a lot since I last started it.

I went up to 2000 grit, it polishes to a really nice shine.

It's just cheap stuff to flush coolant from my oil after pulling the heads. I'll run it maybe 1k before switching to what I usually run

Finally got the new rear brake lines ran on the 00 GP. Was going to replace just the right rear that blew and as I was pulling the old one out past the fuel filter area I rubbed up against the one that feeds the left rear and guess what? Drip, drip. I literally rubbed a hole in the other line just by scuffing it. FML. Good thing I bought 25' of NiCopp line. Re-ran 2 new lines from the unions in the back near the filter straight to each wheel so there are no non-factory unions in it, except now the right rear runs behind the fuel tank and not through the stupid rear subframe. Couple more turns to stop 2 leaks and bleed em. Finally got a good pedal and no leaks as of yet.

Guess I can't complain for a car that's seen daily driving for the last 16 years and has 369K on it, but sure wish it was a bit cooler, lol.. Was 97 outside and 87 in the garage with all fans on full and doors open. Time for cold beers now

I feel your pain on brake lines, I use the best tools I know of but still get tired of doing them lol. I did the lines on my 02 just because someone previously used compression fittings, I said nope. And yeah nicopp is the way to go, got two rolls of that stuff.

Replaced the plugs and wires on the 06.

Also got my klr 250 running. Ive had it a year and a half, it wouldn't start after the carb rebuild. So I did some research on this bike and found the valve adjustment is a common cause of hard to impossible starting. Mine just backfires once in a while. So I adjusted them, they were way off. Put it all back together, I got it to fire but it wouldn't idle. Tore the carb apart again, found a valve clogged that I may have missed. Cleaned it up, and it runs great! Was gonna go test it out, and there was no brakes all of a sudden. The master cylinder was stuck all the way down. I decided test my luck and flush the brake fluid. After a bunch of flushing the nasty old fluid out, it works nice again. Took it in a circle around the yard, then my dad, who has his endorsement, took it for a ride around the block a few times. Seems to work good. It just needs a new tube in the rear tire, new intake boot, and a few other odds and ends. Can't beat it for a free dirt bike lol.

Dropped heads off at the machine shop for a basic valve job. Modded my LIM or I had someone else do it I just opened up the coolant passage some. He said they should be done before friday. I was surprised the heads didn't have any cracks in them too. Fingers crossed I can put the car together this weekend
