Got the camaro to crank :D

Well, I cranked it manually, and it moves a little, but I'm gonna put more oil/pentetrant in the cylinders before I get it totally free

Finally pulled off my TB and cleaned the back side of it. Thing was black as hell.
Got the camaro to run, drive, stop, turn, drove it down to O'Reilly after filling up the tank. Friend came over to tune the carb and when I started it it backfired and caught because of a leaky fuel line, but the fire out with an extinguisher and so far there are no noticeable melted components or anything, fire was short lived and did no damage.
On the bright side I have less than $600 into a running and driving 89 camaro that just needs fuel lines, hatch support lifts, window regulators, repainted interior components, tune the carb, clean the engine bay, and some body work
Oh, and it does burnouts.
Badass!
:burnrubber0:
I scrubbed decades of tree moss and mildew off the '72. It was nice out. Had the 69 out for a very relaxing cruise also.

Well, hopped around Minnesota from 7 till 7:30.... Three stops and $400 later and I got a bumper, bumper foam, hood, header panel, both headlights, right fender in black, SPO tips (me and the kid spent almost an hour and a half taking these dumb things off), SPO spoiler in black, engine cover, metal pull tab things for behind the headlights, engine braces, and rear cup holder. Have to bondo some dents out of the hood - then the bumper and hood will need to be painted. Overall very happy with the amount I got into it. Need to get some nickel SPO grills for cheap now, lol.

Saw an undercover grey Charger pull over a guy on the interstate in-between St. Cloud and Fergus Falls too. Also, turned over 248k on the Town & Country, still going strong!
Installed my TRS headlight harness for the retrofits. Good to have have hi-beams again!

Gotta replace a fuel line then It'll be safe to drive again. Although I learned it's important to have a fire extinguisher nearby, i bought one to mount in the camaro.

Heck yeah ditch the funk and hit the road Aarongaming.
The GTP had a couple vacuum leaks which I just fixed. Yep she was feeling kinda soggy and that brought back the crisp. Fuel trims make better sense now so it was hurting from that. It was the FPR tee mainly. One of the TB bolts could have been tighter.
Oh and I just had it in one of those situations where I saw Sherrif's milling around an area, and talking to somebody pointing the other way. A few miles and turns and many curves later, I turn in behind rice. So I'm tellin the crispy P to simmer down behind this slow rice and here comes a rearview fulla Deputy Tahoe, just following along... a little close to me... and we three zip through a bunch more curves. Hell I'm roof up shades on and wandering too far from my comfort zone. A couple dozen cyclists pass in a clump, then we veer past somebody digging a new mailbox. Both car in front and back of me are moving a little faster than I'd like.
So we get to a stretch by some pasture herdage and chicken houses where I usually stop and roast 'em in the 69.... BAM, on comes the blue and he is around! The Sheriff's Department's Tahoe passed me and lit up the rice ahead. And they pulled over promptly. But dang. Had ya goin, eh? I don't know what was up but I suspicion that there are some laboratories down that road based on past stuff I've seen. I even traded a four-wheeler for a Camaro down there once. LOL, Arkansas.
Checked on the p/s cap magnet. Magnet is still there, and nothing stuck to it other than p/s fluid.

Nice. As you know, first time checking, 1 week in there I had somewhat of a mud like substance stuck to it, with some specks of metal. Second check(yesterday) after 2 more weeks there was plenty of a clutch mud looking substance on it again with maybe one or two specks of metal.
Now that I'm driving my 06, I swapped dipsticks so it has the magnetic one now. Let's see what it catches in a lower mileage car.
I think mine being a very strong neodymium magnet has a lot to do with what it catches, since it's not at the bottom of the reservoir

Get rid of 8k and go to 5k. They will be brighter.
gev V swap with new metal carrier lower and upper intake gaskets. went surprising smooth other than some small split evap and vacuum lines.
Had a clunking in the front end. Turns out one of the Moog end links (3 months old) were gone.
Replaced with some Driveworks poly bushings for now. Turns out the sway bar has already been updated before I got the car. This ones not hollow. ;)
Still have the LCA's to do.
