Found out from the macnine shop my valves have about 30% leakage so I need a valve job.
Yay so much fun! Not. That sucks. I was going to go to the machine shop today but seeing as how they shut down i70 for about hundred miles and most the back roads due to blizzard conditions I didn't want get stuck an hour from home

Got the round neodymium magnets for my trans plan, about the same size as normal stock round magnets. These things can be dangerous. Just waiting on my small rectangle ones to stick on the filter and I'm all set.

Just moments after taking them out of the box I almost made that mistake lol

Rocked the AltimaxHPs in flash flooding conditions today and was amazed. They shake off water faster'n a wet dog. Traffic created a couple blind situations which were non-events thanks to the fresh-ish Generals and two year old Rain-X wiper blades. Like 20 gal of water on the windshield at once a couple times by suprise. I drive on some badly rutted highway too, and the resistance to hydroplaning is remarkable. The car just did what it should and got me around safely, no complaints!
I liked my altimax rt43s. They did very well.
Got car stuck in snow plowed out drive way got have down the street and stuck

found out my heads need 275$ work of work, machine shop said the springs are too week for performance applications.
Im just going to shove some 90#s in it
Noticed something interesting the other night......
In the dash cluster, I have all LED's, and the signals are back-feeding and staying lightly lit when the car is running. If you dim the interior lights with the headlight switch, the signals get brighter. Brighten the interior lights, the signals get dimmer. Hmmm.
Good thing I gave up on trying to figure LED's out. LOL
So my drivers rear door on my truck (crew cab) has kinda given me fits ever since I bought it and likely was this way for while. But anyway, you know when you shut a door with the windows up and all the doors closed you are making alot pressure inside the cabin and thus those relief vents in either the trunk or rear of the cab (in trucks) will do there thing to allow the door to shut nicely.
Well I figure that sometimes it was just too much and it would always just pop the door back open.......... right, but nothing another more powerful "slam" the door wouldnt take care of. So today I just wanted to remove my tow ball and toss it back under the rear seat, go to shut the door and it pops back open every single time. :th_shakinghead2:
Remove the door panel and wiggle the lock actuator out of the door and inspect it, the "horse shoe" clamp that latches on the pin on the body was not working right, spray some crap in there so that when it hits the it might loosen up. I play with it for 20 minutes and got it work where I couldn't pry the latch open with a screw driver anymore and have to pull down on the level to open it back up like as if you open the door from the outside. So i'm thinking, awesome I fixed it. :)
Go to re-intall everything aside from the door panel and close the door, it pops right back at me and latch no longer sticks. Like how the the fudge did just putting it back on make it not work again. :th_angry2:
Call a few places and see if anyone has a new, big ole NOPE. Not even the dealership has these things in stock. Everywhere was nearly a week out for parts and I have a door that won't even latch or stay shut. And not that I was going to pay the dealer nearly $180 for a lock actuator anyway.
So me and my dad fart with it some more and I decided not to connect anything to it, just install it with the lock rod only and no electical connector or inside door handle pull latch. Somehow it latched over stayed and I hoped inside to lock the door so the latch can't move. Now I wait for my new part to come in the mail from rockauto and I can just reach inside the door from inside the truck now and open it manually and then install the new part.
Talk about being angry, I can't believe it failed like it did so soon. The rear seats have literally no wear and tear, nobody ever sat back there nor did the company that owned it pack stuff inside the truck ever. So it's not like it was opened and closed a million times to allow the latch to fail, but cheap GM mexico parts are to blame.
****ing **** *****. :OMG:
