Other than the tear in the seat, everything looks good. Just found it a few hours ago.

its too much for the car. if it was 800 then yeah. but your talking about a gp not a camaro or trans am. you would need a basket full of receipts just to know what has been done to it. i bet the LIM is bad as well as beening on its last legs. hell even pistons could be chipped.
The bumpers are not the factory color either. So may have been in accident. Plus its a 97gtp. 97s have some funky stuff that make them odd balls. Offer $700
Chipped pistons? Cmon its 100% stock and has well under 100K miles on it. Look at the carpet and interior its pretty clean minus the seat but these al have garbage seats really. That car should get 2k all day long easy.
Buncha low ballin haters in here.
As for it being a 97 its a GTP so its got the decent trans in it. If it were a 97 GT not a chance in hell id even consider it.
http://portland.craigslist.org/mlt/cto/4827072902.html this is a 700 dollar car in portland
http://portland.craigslist.org/mlt/cto/4839933995.html this is a common priced car
LOL my point exactly that white GTP is wayyyyy nicer than those and if you pay attention that white GTP looks like some retard tried to paint the rockers and the door ding trim.
And its on both sides so was it in an accident? I HIGHLY doubt it.
And its a 97 1st year this body style im 100% sure that not all had charcoal fascias on the bumpers not to mention that one has the gold trim package with gold lace wheels and gold pin strip so I see no foul with the bumpers either!
Haters....... Geezus Decent car for the money IMO.
Thanks for your responses guys. I'm not afraid to work on the car. I have one in the mean time in case I need to fix anything on the Grand Prix. It was owned by an older gentleman who recently passed away. His son-in-law is selling the car. Said the car was "hardly used the past 3 years" (probably due to the old mans deteriorating condition) but said he would be able to provide maintenance work and it was running a few days ago.
Anything special with the '97 I should look for that isn't in the sticky?
Looks like a nice clean gold edition!
Offer 800 bucks? I dont get it. The rockers are miscolored.... The price is where it should be in my eyes.
I wouldn't pay that for it.. Maybe $1k..

Oh and also check with your insurance prior to make sure they're able to provide insurance for it..

Bought for $2500. Every thing went well. Ran smooth, no knocking, both windows go up and down, rust free. Picking it up tomorrow. I'll provide better pics of the door bumpers and side skirts, maybe you guys can help me out how to get it out(if it's possible at all.) Doesn't appear to be painted, as 98GrandPrixVet suggested it may be.
I look forward to being an involved member on the forums.
Ok. Thank you. I wasnt sure what the fck was going on here. $700/$800 offers? Lmao good luck with that
a simple test drive and good mechanic background knowledge and you should be able to decipher between a good deal and beat teenager car.
Pictures and real life are 2 different things - see it in person and go from there
Looks like I took too long to reply lol. Congrats bro.
grab the vin# and pm me your email. I'll give you a car fax if you want it
Congrats on the purchase!
800 bucks lol
Damn I wish cars in Ohio were that condition for 2500 you are lucky to find a rust free car for under 5k let alone a lower miles one I know as I looked at 9 different 97-03 gtp rusted and over 100k people are wanting at least 3k.
Did my post confuse you? BLAME AUTOCORRECT!
