Lots of issues going on with my 2002 Grand Prix.
the ones i need to address immediately are:

    1. was having issues with the ignition when i first bought this car about 2 months ago. the place i bought it from had a new ignition installed in it and it seemed to fix the issue for a while but i'm having problems again. it's hit or miss for when my grand prix starts. everyday i get in it and cross my fingers. i have had to walk home a few times and leave the car in a parking lot.
when i turn the key, everything comes on but the car. the headlights, interior lights, radio... but the car won't start. sometimes when i leave it sit for about 10 mins or so and try again, it will start, sometimes not.

    2. the heat works intermittently only on 5. when the car does start, the defroster will start blowing only if i have it set to 5. if i have it set on anything below that, it doesn't work. if it's blowing on 5 and i turn it down a notch, it stops blowing. when i turn it back up to 5, it won't work. but if i leave it on 5, it eventually kicks on within 5 minutes or so. also, nothing but the front defrost works. heat doesn't come out of the vents and the rear defrost won't work.

    3. the display where it tells me the oil life, how much gas i have used and so on doesn't light up.

can anyone suggest something to do with any of these problems? i have googled all of them and can't find anything definitive.

i bought this car about 2 months ago from a used lot and none of these problems were present until recently. HELP!!!

When you turn the key and everything lights up (as it should) and then attempt to start, does everything go dead?

    1. There is a fix/writeup for this somewhere on here. If I find the link, I'll post
    2. Definitely the blower motor resistor. It's a common issue on these cars and yes it can be a PITA to reach
    3. Need a new bulb. Can be replaced but most are lazy and just get another DIC
