Basically, you want the part of the filament that lights/burns to be inserted the same depth into the headlight housings. The original write up showed how to drill 2 or 3 small holes in the housing where the lamp twists in, using small Allen type screws to lock the lamp in at the correct depth. It's simple really...
As to the Bi-xenon, I'm using them, there's no bounce that I see. I think the bounce was people using aftermarket headlamp housings. If getting new housings, try to keep & use the stock bracket, seems it's a little more sturdy. Get the HID kit from the Retrofit Source, imo the extra $ is worth it, it's all top notch stuff. Kit was $120 I think, all still running wonderfully 18 months later, took an hour to install. Don't forget to check the wiring, depending on year, etc., you may have to swap wires (at connector)...
