That's the lock cylinder, not the ignition switch. The switch is behind that

Ok great. I have the steering cover off and moving the wires around as wee speak. I also Uninstalled my aftermarket radio as well just to rule that out and it's not that either
I live in DC, I checked the harness and wiggling did nothing so I guess I have to start testing wires for power. My symptoms are now as follows.
No running brake lights when headlights are on, no dash lights, no gearshift lights. No door lock lights and the annoying chiming when the door is opened.
Instead of wiggling and jiggling wires. Test the ones under the column for power. There's some large wires coming off that switch that should have power when the key is on. What usually happens is .. some of them stop having power. It's not a connector issue..its internal to the switch.
This at be a dumb question but have yoh checked fuse 37 under the hood?
Update.
Blowngp that was a smart question lol. Checked it. Blown. Installed a new one? Blew right after. So now wehave a lead on what's going on.
Ok so what's going on? Should I do the stupid thing and put a bigger fuse in it?
I kid. Lol
