Ditch the 160* t stat for a 180*. Also if on stock pulley ditch al 104s and go 605s

Lower it atleast 1.5in all around for far better cornering.

Getting quick struts will raise the car up some and make it float and body roll more. I'd just buy some KYB struts and some lowering springs, new mounts and you can get that for around 500 bucks. Struts are around 240 and new springs are 180, then it's just the price of struts mounts.

I'd go with a 180 aswell, engine works better when slightly warmer. Run 91+ octane and perhaps add a 3in downpipe or just spring for headers.

Thanks for the quick replys. Well i had planned on quick struts with ebays cheap lowering springs the 1.7 drop springs an possibly cutting like 5 inches of the botton coil off to get a lil lower. Right now my current wheel an tire is 215/55/17 i was gonna shoot for some 9 inch wide wheels so i have a wider tire an more contact with the pavement. I will swap my tstat back out to a 180 which is what i originally had. As far as headers go ive been watching the speed daddy headers on ebay but that might come later. I still need to weight strip my ride an get a approved 5 point harness an cage it with window nets. I will be posting pics through out the build. Thanks for all the help.

If you have the link paste the link and put the image tags around it. Like this {img}link{/img} except the {} needs to be []

I did make the mistake of cutting the coils on stock blown out struts i slammed the car an it cornered nice when it wasnt bouncing me into the roof lol i figured 5 inchs wouldnt hurt but that would change the sprig rate correct?

I just installed the dna springs. Didnt bother with the anti pogo washers but i did get some 3/8 aluminum plate and drilled some holes for spacers that cost me 15 bucks. Cant tell a bit of difference from stock ride quality wise unless i go down a real rough road. I agree do not cut them.

My DNA (ebay) springs rode like crap. Worse handling than worn out stock ones. Definitely wouldn't recommend them for autocross.

I'd recommend stripping out any weight where ever you can. Use coil overs. Fbody front brakes. And get an intercooler.

I would deff like to do coil overs but im kinda doin a budget build to atleast run in september. We have an event here in nc on the border of tn called chasing the dragon hill climb that id like to attend i still need a fire proof suit an to get signed up with scca. From what ive seen the suits go from 300 - 1500 😮 ouch!! So that will kill my budget as far as gettin a great suspesion Set up.

Wide track was a marketing gimmick. It's a nose heavy FWD. Miatas, 240's, etc will kill it even if they were on stock suspension and you were on modded suspension.

This is like trying to use a cannon for delicate surgery...........

Money better spend on a girly Miata than trying to make a w body take corners.......

As long as you realize you wont be the fastest one at the autox and still can have fun is what matters.
