Looking to repaint my fender. It's bad lol. It was repainted and they did an awful job. So any tips? Thinking of just getting some color match and going from there.

Might just be worth having a body shop spray it for you. Get a quote. Or find a good condition color matched fender on fleabay and swap it.
wet sand the fender, mask off the rest of the car, or take the fender off. then once its all scuffed up and smooth, hit it with prep spray to clean off any grease wax or oils, then paint it with a 50% over lap of each pass. keep the can the same distance and speed of the passes the same and it will come out ok. dont over do it. your better off with 4 light coats vs 2 heavy coats. if you see a spot you think you missed leave it, catch it with the next coat.
after paint clear coat, it, same deal as painting.
let it dry 2 days then wet sand the clear coat with 2000 grit paper then buff to a shine with compound.
It's a prix. Not a show car lol. I'm. Comfortable in spraying it just need to know the steps. Can't be worse than it is right now. Clear is peeling and it's seen better days lol.
Doesn't have to be a show car to spend a few bucks just having a shop respray it for you... Chances are it'll look stock and not like some rattle can paint job...
Have you even tried to get a quote you might be surprised on how cheap it can be.
I would bet my favorite 10mm wrench that fender is the victim of a previous rattle can job. If that stuff wipes off with a thinner rag, yep thats what it is. Wipe or sand off and redo that. Looks like there may be shiny dark OE paint underneath. Again though, if you could find a decent original silver fender, or even one with quality refinish paint on it, thats the cheapest way out. Try car-part dot com, it might suprise you. It costs like 50-60 bucks to fill a paint gun with good stuff and a fender job needs 3 or 4 times that. A spray can job might be sufficient and will be an improvement but it won't match nice. Butted to the hood and door like it is, it would be obvious.
Good then report back hell get a price for both if you leave it on the car or if you were to take it off and just drop it off to get painted. Might make a big difference in price. I'm all for the whole diy do it yourself thing but some things its cheap enough to have someone else do it right vs the time and effort and money you'll spend doing it yourself to look half decent.
Admit it I might come off as being a dick but I do often make great points. Is your car galaxy silver or silvermist?
