Looking into picking up a 04 Comp-G. Car has 123k miles on it. And it's rusted a bit around the rear wheel wells, and the decklid. Paint is also pretty shady in spots. I couldn't get underneath the car well enough today to check out the rockers, fuel/brake lines, and rear frame rails. Also judging by the oil/undercoating under the hood on the body. I'm guessing it's been undercoated all of it's life. Cant tell for sure as i didn't get to look under the car. As for the interior. it's not in the greatest condition.
What I wanna know. Is next time I get up to the car in question. What are some BIG things to look for? apart from the same type of stuff you look for for a 97-03 usually.
I plan on going back to "text drive" the car later this week, to Traction control, and one other are on. And the DIC blinks about checking the braking system and the traction control. He claims the transmission shifts funny (will know exactly how once test driven)
He was asking $1000obo as is. And i've talked him into letting it go for $600 pending a text drive. Can post "general" pics a little later to hear everybody's opinion.
