GTP needs struts. Rear passenger is completely out. Recommendations on brand? Should I get boots to match paint or stick with black?

Most suggest kyb around here. The rear boots are pretty hard to see so I wouldn't change them, plus most buy quick struts and swapping boots means a lot of extra work if you're going that route.
Make sure the strut towers aren't rusted too bad. And when you replace them do something to prevent any more rust.

I put Gabriel's on a guy's cutlass I worked on. It didn't have the spring in the strut so it was an easier swap out

I have Monroe sense tracs on my 94 Cutlass DD. I was able to find a good deal on them and they have a lifetime warranty I have already used once. They ride good and handling is the same as it was stock.

Kyb struts blew in under 10,000 miles on my car. Waste of cash, but then again I live in new York.

I have to take it to a shop, but I can get whatever struts I want. My GTP does have springs and there are no spring compressor tools around. Can't even rent them at any parts store. Might as well have shop do it anyway since it will need aligned. I will check out the KYB struts. Gabriel is the cheapest I have found. I don't want to go for the cheapest.
I can't drive it except maybe to Kroger or the gas station. It is a death machine. Any bump is like a roller coaster ride and any wetness on the road is death.
Rear passenger tire is at about 2 degrees negative camber by my estimate.

Do you have a Autozone around? P/N 27036 is for the tool to compress the spring. It's not a special tool so it should be easily available.

I have a cheap spring compressor at home. I think it was $15-$20 at AutoZone

Dang, I see you're in Indy. I'm getting ready to toss 4 KYB struts in the trash. I took them off of my son's 1999 GTP because the PO ad cut the springs to lower the car.

If you still have your stock springs, and a way to have them put on my KYB's, you can HAVE them.
