So I get in the car this morning to go to the grind, and as I'm heading down the freeway I notice my headlights are pulsating. Hmmm, it's not to my music so? (I have an aftermarket head unit, and a set of subs with a 1000W amp that I know will cause it) I flip the DIC over to the voltage meter, and its reading right around 14.5... I also notice that my subs sound weak, if not non-existent... I stop at the gas station, check my subs to see if they're working, and they are coming in and out... Low power, right? Nooope... DIC still reads about 13.87 at an idle. That shouldn't be enough to cause them to cut in and out. There is a correlation with the pulsating of the lights, the amp, and whatever the Hell is going on. When I got to work, I'm sitting there fiddling with it, turning the subs off = Pulsing stops. Turn them on = Pulsing starts. Its almost like the amp is trying to fire, but doesnt have enough go juice to turn on and stay on. This leaves three areas for me to narrow it down to... Battery, Alternator, or Amp... Only problem I have is where do I start? Any ideas/ Suggestions?
