Clay attempted LIM gasket swap yesterday and after about 6 hours threw in the towel and I fixed it today in about an hour.

    See anything wrong here?

    Found this beauty too

When I pulled the sc off

    Bunch of leftover gasket material

    Fixed and supercharger cleaned off

Got bored and tinted his awful taillights and cleaned his tips up. I wish I would have taken a pic of how bad his tails were before.

How does a coolant passage oring get pinched in the EGR port?

Hope it don't spin a bearing.

What's Clay's name on the forum, we gotta put training wheels on him.

Although .. there was likely a time when we were all learning. Clearly.. he didn't have the worlds best teacher.

Remember this is all in addition to all the vacuum lines and plastic pieces that Clay managed to break that day.

I don't know how many times I said "eh, we'll repair that later" or how many times the spare parts in Dan's garage saved the day.

As Bill said.. We've all gotta learn somehow. You gotta screw some stuff up first before you can learn to do it right.

And come on now, you're all just jealous of my abilities to break stuff

At least now you could do a LIM job if you had to.

I'd likely do a poor job on lim and SC gasket cleaning if I didn't have air tools.

But Clay.. when possible, I'd suggest reading a lot of posts and learning from others mistakes than to make the same ones. I've posted a lot of stuff here based on learning and mistakes. Take advantage of what it cost me so you don't have to shell it out as well.

well not sure if it helps, but for anyone that does the dime/penny mod to block the coolant passages the yellow orings should not be used as the dimes take up this space. i think this was causing a vac leak when i just installed my topswap.

Yeah I'll definitely make sure to read up a lot more next time. I think my biggest mistake was waiting too late to start on it then I got impatient and started breaking crap lol.

I think the same thing Clay. You should have started on it as soon as you got there. We would have taken a break to help you when you got into a bind or had a question. Now you can change Austin's LIM and elbows right?

I just didn't realize it was going to take so long. So I believe that was my big mistake which led to all of this other crap. And I could but after seeing what I did to my car he won't let me touch his lol.
