So last Friday I replaced my stock fuel pump with the ZZP one. The stock one was a little weak but it still worked. It was just a little sketchy so I replaced it. Also had AC charged and a minor leak fixed (which turned out to be a much bigger leak unfortunatelly). Before I explain let me say this issue could have technically been present before this and for a long time. Its not often I get my car over 200F and then beat on it.

I think I need a new thermostat as well as I hit 228F coolant temp yesterday. It was hot, I did have AC on, and traffic wasn't the greatest but it got there fast and kept climbin'.

Anyway, on to the crazy issue. So once the car hits about 210F (asuming thats related), it does something really weird once you got WOT (sometimes). It will get to about 4500RPM and then start DRASTICALLY losing power. It ends up losing so much power by 6000 rpms that you're standing on the gas and its just sitting at 6k rpms till you let off the gas. It wont get enough power to make it to 6400RPM to shift (my shift point).

Now for some reason when I went to ZZP yesterday and had Steve drive with me with the tuner (car at about 215F) it didnt do it for a half hour. It was pretty slow but it was pretty hot so meh. Of course then on the way home it did it consistently again.

Andrew (who some in michigan probably know well), and Steve from ZZP have witnessed it happen. Andrew played around with it for 3 hours of it doing it on Friday. It seems to get better as the car cools down. I have a narrowband and we only had a Scanner in the car not a tuner on friday but when it did it:
    -Timing was normal
    -AFR was 10.9 (normal)
-MAF read normally and had proper voltages
    -KR was always 0
-O2 voltage does drop sometimes really low when it happens (like 5-20). Same issue occured with o2 unplugged. O2 is brand new Denso sensor
-MAF is not dirty (LQ4 FYI)
    -Boost was normal
-Does it with both a full and empty tank of gas
    -No DTCs

It doesnt seem like things are getting pulled by a tune or anything. It just COMPLETELY falls on its face. It just looses all power. When the car is merely warm it has no issues, and pretty good power.

So what is it? Everyone is completely baffled :C

Just because it only REALLY falls on its face when its over 200F doesnt mean It isnt a problem. Clearly something is wrong and it might be happening at lower temperatures but just to a lesser degree. Andrew assures me the pump isnt installed wrong, and ZZP assures me it isnt faulty. I tend to believe all this with the AFR reading right, (although the o2 voltage is a bit weird).

Is the next step getting a wideband on it to see if that reads anything more strange?

I figured it out.. It is all because of the hole in the throttle plate... :-)

Apparently this issue requires me replacing the car with a different one. Because mystery.
