Am I the only one or has anybody else struggled with installing these intense mounts. I personally think these are the best mounts for 3800s. One piece design and very strong. So why were these so hard to install?
Thanks, Dee...

What are you having problems with? I got some from 3800 performance that are 1 piece and they went right in with some force.
Well I took the MSP 3800performance square mounts out bc though they were tough, they really got on my nerves. I ran the MSP 3800performance mounts for over 7yrs now and I just got tired of the 3 piece design and the bushing was very weak making it hard to remove & install when needed(in my case anyway) but they did keep the motor from any unwanted movement.
So I went with the Intense square mounts and out of the box they seemed much more durable, one piece design and the bushing itself is a beast(thick and I could almost fit the MSP 3800performance square mount bushing inside of it). Anyway I just didnt think they would be that difficult to install, bc the MSP mounts slid right in. Just wanted to know if anybody else had a hard time getting the Intense square mounts in.
Just put mine in last week. The little lip on the edge that keeps them centered was holding me up. I worked the edge in with 2 little pick/flat heads and tapped on it with a dead blow. Took about 30 minutes .
Yeah, I actually used a 4" C clamp that I would usually use when doing brakes. I just wanted to know if I was the only one that had to fight with them. Do do give a nice solid feel to the ground. I recommend themThank, Dee
When i did mine I shortened my dog bones 5/8ths too. Re-drilled the holes and trimmed the ends off took another 30min.
Thought i'll show why I changed to the Intense mounts. Mind you these are only 2yrs old and my second pair.[IMG][/IMG][IMG]

If your heavily modded or have a decent amount of torque then this could happen. Im not heavily modded but I do drive hard. Hopefully these Intense mounts will do the trick. Its been about 3wks now with these Intense mounts and so far so good. Very firm and surprisenly less vibration then the 3800performance MSP mounts. Heres Intense mounts[IMG][/IMG]
Notice the size difference of the bushings between Intense and MSP mounts. Major difference, and the bushings themselves alone of the Intense mounts tell you that they mean business...
Hope this helps someone in making they're decision when buying upper square radiator support mounts.
Thanks, Dee...
Yup one of the many reasons I sold my Zzp ones and went with Intenses (1 piece design). Had them on the car for around 3 years 0 issues and for some reasons my Zzp ones would clunk every time I would go into reverse even when they were brand new.
Wow, you hit the jack pot with that post. Mines use to always clunk too when going from park to reverse. I always thought it was the motor mount or dogbone but I soon realized it was the square mounts. After the second pair of MSD mounts I told myself its time for a change. Funny thing is these mounts are so much better that I haven't even notice the clunking gone. Now that I think about it, I haven't even heard it. So 3yrs is a nice lil time so hopefully they'll last us for years to come.
I thought I was the only one lol damn you Zzp had me replace the dogbones and all chasing the clunk until I realized what it was. Best $50ish I spent at Intense.
