So I've seen that some of the cool guys here get rid of one of the upper mounts. I tried it and I like it. I was just wondering that if besides putting additional stress on the remaining mount are there any other undesired side effects of doing this?

You should have the stronger piece that bolts to the engine when you do this. I'd think the motor may torque to one side, but it doesn't appear others have the issue.

Go super cool and get a front trans mount for a 00+ Bonne and bolt to the subframe instead of up high.
I drink..so consider that when reading my posts.

i wouldnt run just one without adding something else to take the strain that one mount was taking.

Hey Bill... what all do you ned to do to get the boni trany mount on to a Wbody? a 1.5 gen like min? i miss the fact that my old DOHC has three lower mounts and one upper. I wouldnt mind having three lower and keep the two upper. One could keep the softer rubber mounts and still hold the engine firmly in place... this should greatly reduce vibration at idle while not letting the engine or trany rock.
