Once you've done things a few times. You know which tools, where etc. I jack the car up, grab certain tools and go under. I don't have to get up and down repeatedly for different tools. My box is also in close proximity to where I'm working, things are organized and my hand automatically goes to the preferred (easier to use) tool.

Work on Otto a bunch of times. You'll know the bolt sizes and realize that if you have a plug socket, 10mm, 13mm, 15mm, 18mm you can do most work on your car.
