Don't lift it on that double seem lol. The rust is not that bad, mine is way worse...See That frame looking steel structure right there by the fuel filter bracket? Lift if from there.
Looks normal to me.
The outer rockers in the one picture are still fully there, which is good. What you crushed in the pinch weld, those always get crushed on cars that see salt. Thats why I always go under the uni-body frame near the middle of the car.
The guys that rotated my tires were afraid to lift it. They said the fuel line can brake and other stuff. :/ I'm so sad.
sand blast +kbs coatings rust seal + kbs blacktop =ftw
the other day i had to lift my blue gtp by the pinch weld and it was so rusty the jack went right through it and into the body![]()
that was because i was changing a tire on an inclined street and the car rolled off the other jack under the subframe because it doesnt have a parking brake. luckily i was able to get it under the front of the subframe to lift the car off the ground.
and it was wet with snow everywhere and 20 degrees. great day.
Or come out to california and get a new body with zero rust. You guy would be amazed at the rust free cars out here. Just last week I saw 2 two doors coupes fully rust free. But if I was going to do that the one thing I would suggest is some help.
That looks normal for a car around here. Mine only looks good because the 1st owner put undercoating on it.
When I put it on the lift it sounded like its gonna break in half. Some pieces fell off. There's cracks when u put it on a jack.
Is this normal?
I'm afraid to hit it with a screw driver so it won't go through.
dont be a pansy, we all got rust, i would be worried about your strut mount going through a shattering rear window. Then the insurance company will total it!
That still looked pretty good under there compared to my car. Your rocker panels still look pretty solid but never lift the car on them. I always use the subframe to lift the font and the mount in your 3rd pic. to lift the back. My car is compleatly rotted out and I've never had a problem lifting there.
Not as bad as this

I'm still waiting for it to fall in half lol
