Have a 06 base model .......put a HP tune on it.......took all restrictions off but at 200 km/h engine shuts off and all communication ti computer stops...is there a safety on the car that is hard wired in it ..or am I missing something to turn off....no codes come up either

The car won't get the proper tune as the dyno won't give a true torque reading as the engine shuts down

Right now had to set at 180 for torque at 160 wheel horse power

I dont understand your logic of tuning.

What does knowing the "true" torque numbers going to do?

Car makes no power, takes 10's of seconds to reach those speeds. Kind of a waste of time and money really.

So HP tune as in HP tuners was used? What are you tuning with?

Knowing what the motor makes for torque means nothing.

My numbers are all wheel numbers not engine.....but like I commented on the dyno once my car hit 200 it completely shut down no codes

So I take you've adjusted airflow and fueling and messed with timing tables to gain power and fuel economy. But now you are at the mercy of the car and what it can do, you dont need to go that fast.

Your NA is very limited with the power it can make and you might sneek out 200+ WHP with all the bigger mods such as cam, hv3 and so on. Its only going to be useful from 0-90 mph anything above that and it takes forever to reach such speeds.

    20% fuel economy?

    Give me a break.

You'll never get that just from a tune unless you put larger injectors in and don't adjust the tune for it.

If the person who tuned your car was paying attention, they'd see there are speed cutoffs in multiple places.

Takes but a minute to find them.

Much less than the time you spent in this thread.

Doubt you got a pilots license - you need training before it's not an issue
