Well I noticed my boost once again didnt fully max out at wot. I unplugged one vacuum line from the bottom of my Boost Bypass Actuator or my BBV, took it for a ride and I get better boost. My fuel economy is garbage no matter how I drive. I check with the stealership for a new one. $269. ! That is just crazy, is it worth it? O'reillys wants $38 lol plus $30 freight. That doesnt seem right. Sounds like it will last 3 days.. I am unsure of what to do, any suggestions?

What are you pricing the actuator or the solenoid valve. Zzp sells just the actuator for $50ish. You can post a wtb thread here and you can probable get one.

I am looking for an actuator, I checked ZZP and this is what I found. Eaton - EATON Bypass Valve #ETN-204103

It looks right but says its for an Eaton blower, I am unsure, if that is what a stock 99 GTP has or is Eaton aftermarket?

    Eaton is the stock blower.

Are there any ZZP promotion codes I can use to get a discount?

that is the little mushroom shaped valve. they nearly never go bad.

what went bad was the solenoid, which is the small box that the wiring harness is connected to. the solenoid got sticky and isnt letting the valve open/close how it should.

You can grab one at the junkyard or run without it and get the code deleted. It's not a huge deal if you can scan. All it does is limit boost for traction control.

I had a vacuum actuator go bad. Little tare in diaphragm you could see where the rod comes out.

Best way to check is with a vacuum hand pump. Connect hose, pump it up and see if it holds. This works for solenoid valve as well.

I have an extra actuator and a valve.

I know this is really old but im still looking for a BBA, my actuator has a tare in the diaphragm and i think thats the source of my P0171 engine lean code.
    You have one?
