Trans tube was not an issue
SSAC's. I haven't had any issues with mine and they are 175 bux now vs the 350 I gave for them. Turbo Kits, Turbo Manifolds, Import Performance Products, SSAutochrome Inc.
Finished install (Pacesetters) and wasn't nearly as bad as made out to be. Easy actually, no dip stick issue, no need to take TB off, engine mounts or anything. Just some patience and a steady hand...
Had small tick, my fault, didn't tighten rear header enough. Retightened and all was good. Used band clamps and Copper RTV on the Y fitting/collector and tightened those like crazy!
Seems though that they do come down a bit under car (ground clearance) but its something I didn't pay attention to before ripping out the old stock exhaust. Are they like that or is it just me? Lolz...
people exaggerate the low hanging DP
Than why did.I nearly destroy the downpipe right at the u?

do you fly over speed bumps speed racer?
no it would do it at nearly any speed and especially on bad roads
I've had my headers for 8 months, I've never touched anything with it.
The sd's are the only clearance issue headers I know even then, the sink trap don't scrape as much as as the ypipe for my cutout does

the SLP type headers are pretty low hanging. 3" lower then the trans pan

My sds fit fine no issues and they hang a little low but as long as you don't off road its cool
yeah never had an issue either and i drive down a dirt road to get to work
im lowered and i have scrapped it once... but it was a bad up hill exit from BK that i took straight on... if i would have taken it on a angle i would have been fine. either way i think when i do my topswap i will find an exhaust shop to replace the flex and remove about 1/2 to 1" of distance off the rear header to raise the U bend.
i removed the ubend completely
problem solved

but i also have dead struts and collapsing springs so any bump bottomed them out, not to mention i hit a deer with it, and have to park on teh side of the road since the new driveway still isnt done

Cut some of the hangers off to give a little more clearance, still think it looks a bit low, but there's not much room above the collector flange anyway. Here's a pic... lol, I'll get a better pic tomorrow with the sunlight :)
