gxp vs gtp-which one?

im looking to buy either a gxp or a gtp. ive been doing research through this forum and other sites, but just wanted to see what people have to say. im gonna use the car mostly commuting to class and work, but I want something fun to drive and that I can really make my own. Sorry if this is a repost or a topic thats been beat to death, but just wanting some advice! Thanks in advance!

Define. Make your own. How much do you wanna spend? The aftermarket for a gxp is very limited...gtp is huge

gxp if you wanna have fun but not beat the **** out of plus v8

gtp for beating on IMO

im gonna have around 5g to put into it in the next year and a half or so. im not sure what I want to do for mods yet. ive read that there is a lot more you can do to the gtp but i do like the v8. how much did that turbo kit run you joshv?

GTP requires modding to have fun with it.

GXP is fun out of the box. -- Put an external tranny cooler on it and don't worry about it.

u can replace the tranny for a better one, get the tranny built, get a shift kit, the cooler, and i heard they came out with tranny tunes. it will shift more smooth and could prolong it a little. other than that just dont beat on it. i love mine.

ive also heard that there are more problems with the 05-06's compared to the 07-08's. any truth to that?

I don't know how accurate this is but I used some of it to help me out. I'm currently thinking about getting a GXP as well.

GXP is more $$$ then the GTP so you might not have much left over, it also uses more fuel and higher insurance

in my area there are more gxp's for sale than gtp's or gt's. and the supercharged gp's i can find are almost all over 100,000 which is not what im looking for

My insurance company charged me 5 bucks more for my 05 gxp then my 04gtp lol

I never heard that. I did hear 06 is the best yr For the gxp

get the gxp, use the extra money for a trans build with 3.29 and 3.69 gears

you have to have a drive and driven gear if thats what you mean by both gears.
