Put sound deadener on the 3 remaining outer door skins. Still waiting on some materials so that I can do the inside door panels.

Drove it to work. Car is so dirty, but me no care. It's super dewy every morning and calling for rain rest of week. So no bath for her.

I made the decision earlier this year when I had the TCC replaced on my GP - once I did that it was all in for repairs. Had to have Tranny rebuilt, oil pan gasket replaced, and the steering fixed. I still have a LCA that's bad, and I'll need to get it fixed as soon as I get the $1000 I'm owed from newspapers. I'll also have to have a tire replaced because of that. Intake manifolds and radiator next, then it's good as new!

I've replaced radiator fuel pump water pump alternator one rim interior door panels the knob for air control have to replace tranny now and am starting $2000 in body windshield and a full paint job and that's labor free. Would be upwards of 8000 at an actual shop.... oh yea and I blew a power steering hose.... I think.... leaking pretty bad and it appears to be the hose

I replace or repair what I know I can, otherwise I have a shop do it. Some of it I just don't have the time to do myself, so I have to outsource it. But the radiator and LIM I know I can do myself or with friends, or even have the Jeff who did my tranny do them as he'll be cheaper than the shop I've had to other stuff. The shop is closer, within bicycle distance. Jeff is 30+ miles away, and I don't want to bike to and from there!

everything on my car was done between my step father and myself. We go out to Ewe-pullet our local self service scrap yard and pull the things we need....... i can find mechanical parts needed but not body parts that are in tact lol

Are you young? I started hearing that back in the sixties. I think it started when I bought my 1963 Galaxy with a 406 and a 4 speed.

I get "Why are you replacing parts that already work?" more than anything. Like when I bought the F-Body Calipers and brackets, she was like why did you buy those, we got you new rotors and pads 2 years ago, you don't need them yet. lol she doesn't understand

I just find it amusing that if I go out for like fifteen twenty minutes she thinks i'm trying to spend more time on the car than with her..... partially because when i'm home i'm on here on my phone lol but now i'm working on her old 98 and she seems to be fine with that wtf lol

Ps if the parts you're replacing really are still good I'd be willing to buy some from ya for her 98
