split one with a friend. hell i use my brothers, he just asked me to buy one of his pads, only i use it so it should last quite some time, and i buy my own wax and so on. wax products last a long time. if its just for your car.
see if you have places that sell and buy used tools, pawn shops, ebay, you never know where one may turn up used for a good price.
Also, keep an eye out for sales. and PACKAGE DEALS!
I got mine during the Christmas sale from AutoGeek, got the PC with 6 pads for $180? I think.
They were running a "12 days of Christmas" sale, and I was waiting for it, day 10 came and went and the PC still wasn't the daily special...then finally on day 12, it was! So that's when I got mine. Saved about $40 I believe.
You've got labor day coming up, and Thanksgiving and Christmas are always huge sale times for everyone.
So just wait it out for the best packaged deal.
I want a PC nowWhy are things expensive lol
Be Sure it's a polisher and not a Sander. Not sure if it makes much of a difference. But then get a variable speed![]()
made it all nice and clean
Watched as whilst going up a hill my RPM gauge decided to quit life and my traction control turned itself off...Coolstorybrool
that one is just a right angle grinder/what ever. you can put a buffing pad on it, but you can never stop moving it or the paint will burn off.
you want this one. it has a dual action spinning head that wont harm the paint, what ever you do with it.
Porter-Cable 7424 6-Inch Variable Speed Random-Orbit Polisher or the XP model
this is a pc 7428, not the same thing.
