got my donuts so the zzp 3 incher goes on tonight
put new battery in car today, old one made it almost 4 years. so i had lots of fun beating on it to get my transmission shifting firm again. got that taken care of annnnd
then decided i was going to attempt the HUD dimming fix. lost 6 of them damn clips in the dash, so i had lot o fun fishing them out with a magnet. only one remains lost at sea. but anyways, it works now![]()
Put on my new arrowhead from reflective concepts. red and chrome with with reflecto-dome and debadged it. Gonna wash it tommorrow and get off all the excess glue
Replaced the transmission pan gasket today as well as the filter. Then fixed a vacuum leak. Now gotta fix a coolant leak
Loaded it up with arcade game parts, a hand cart and have been working it like a truck all week.
bought a f body brake up grade, patiently waiting for them to come in the mail.
Waiting for my CTS-V calipers to arrive on monday. Then I'll move on to order the rest of the stuff. I can't wait!
Got it a much needed alignment
Took a look at my disassembled transmission and partially disassembled engine...sighed...and came into work. I miss my car already! lol
Did a couple things in the last few days. Sorry for the hugeness.
Fixed my moisture in the headlights issue.
Drilled one hole underneath, on the leading edge, and another directly over the bulb.
Cleaned up my foglights, had to wetsand and compound them, threw on some Turtle Wax.
Not gorgeous, but much better looking and MUCH more output.
Decided to straighten this, been that way since I bought it.
Surprise, rust on your car!
Jesse don't play dat! So I wire brushed the rust and loose paint away and covered it with Rustoleum.
Sorry I forgot an after pic, but y'all know what straight looks like.
Also, has anyone done or seen any way to dress this general area up?

Drove it to school yesterday, HUD works nicely. But unplugging the battery to replace it has made it completely forgot how to shift! I even drove it aggressively for a while last night to re-learn it like it usually does but it's sloppy as hell!. I'm not satisfied at all.![]()
Washed and waxed my blue magic
Oh and finished installing my double din. Needs more work though.

Hmmmm, took it for a ride, disconnected the EGR and maybe it's psycho... but engine runs smoother with the EGR out of the loop.
Also, returned that Advance Auto GSP Axle... Going to order the W-Body one.

Changed my MAF and now my fuel trims are much better and no KR at all.
Drove it 3 hours then stopped and picked up HID's for it. Drove another hour and a half. Installed HIDs, Removed HID's due to them not working and parked it for the night haha.
well i drove it around last night for a good few minutes, and drove quite a bit today. i mean im not beating it, but in order for it to adapt you have to drive like you're going to drive. it seems if i keep it under 2500 rpm the shifts are SO shiity, but if i get it around 3000k they firm up.
funny thing is, nixon had 04+ trans settings in and he raised the line pressure iirc, and it had the firmest shifts for a stock trans, it was awesome! but as of now it downright SUCKS ASS.
gm service manual says http://sm.gpona.com:9001/si/showDoc....m&cellId=75313 i dont know if u can see that, but it says "The 4T65-E transmission uses a line pressure control system, that has the ability to adapt line pressure to compensate for normal wear of the following parts. If the upshift time is longer than a calibrated value, then the PCM will adjust the current to the pressure control (PC) solenoid valve to increase the line pressure for the next shift in the same torque range. If the upshift time is shorter than the calibrated value, then the PCM will decrease the line pressure for the next shift in the same torque range. The PCM monitors the AT ISS sensor and the VSS after an upshift in order to determine the amount of clutch slippage. If excessive slippage is detected, then the PCM will adjust the current to the PC solenoid valve in order to increase the line pressure to maintain the proper gear ratio for the commanded gear."
ill give it a day or two more. either way i have to order a new pcm. so it won't matter for long anyway
changed the blower tensioner on mine and put a homemade cold air on my brothers mc
did a bunch of stuff today, removed my cat back, then removed my old resonator, got the new one on.
then hit my tinted tails with the porter cable buffer. (when i tinted the tails, i was only able to hand compound after wet sanding them) they look like glass, i mean glass now. took the head lights off and hit them with the buffer as well. then re compounded the pin strip area where i had cut the strips off, came out good, hardly see them any more.
