Hmmm I cleaned it, went on a cruise. Then I got a nice kill :P
Sounds like a plan. Ideally I'd get a red top but I'm not spending that much on an electric box.
Brandon, here is what mine is.
When I got the car it was always super hard starting and would crank for a few until it fired...took it to get it tested and the guy looked at me like I was nuts. He couldn't believe that I never had to have it jumped to get it started. The CC amps were something rediculiously low. So I got this bad boy installed beginning of December 2010 and have had no issues. It never fails me on the super cold mornings up here.
I got it at Advanced and I think it was in the $110-120 range? Had a 1 year warranty I think.
well regardless of temp., the problem i'm having is after it sits overnight, it gets really weak. it's never just turned over and not hit a lick, it's always started near instantly. i never have to hold the starter. but here lately you turn the key and it grunts slowly and weakly turns the starter and then starts up.
after driving it 20ish minutes home. and turning it off, waiting 5 minutes, then hookin up the scanner, it said it needed charged, even though it had plenty of volts. he said it was a dead cell. and he tested the alternator and it was putting out a strong 14v. it's a bosch battery i'm not shocked.
as you can see i have a "strong" rated battery, it's just gettin weak. aeroforce said a weak battery is probably what fried the power board on the gauge.
so that right there, rated at 1000 cranking amps above 32*, which it was today, was at 500 cranking amps. that's pathetic.

its bosch. enough said. ill only use their oil filters, because theyre not made by bosch, only branded.
i drove it.
I got one of those interstate batteries in my Camaro and that thing rules. It came brand new in the car in February of 2010 and worked amazing. Even when the car would sit all winter the thing would start as soon as I cranked it. Until one day I was fixing my radio and when I went outside the car to see if the speaker was still rattling (It was ghetto hung in there so I pulled all that crap out and put in the stock housing with the insulated sleeve) and I had accidently locked the door with the radio running and keys in the ignition. My mom came home with the spare keys a half hour later but the thing was still getting close to dead. Few months later I left one of the accessories on overnight and it completely killed the battery. Took the thing into a local interstate and they took it and said they would charge it overnight. Get a call the next day saying the cells are dead and it needed replaced. Walk in the store expecting to pay out the butt for a new one and the guy says "go get that battery off the shelf over there and give it to me". So I ask how much it is gonna cost. He just says "Nothing, the battery falls within the warranty so its yours". It was a $130 battery for free and I think the warranty is like 24 months for free replacement 75 months long for the warranty so it is definitely worth it and its reliable too, unless of course you kill it.
I even found the one I got... http://www.interstatebatteries.com/c...tery_V8%2f5.7L)
Anyway I cleaned the windows on it and then put gas in it.
washed it,
toyed with an GTP on the interstate, guy was cool
i realized i hate her a little more
Installed new ZZP downpipe w/cat. Pictures really don't do this piece justice, it truly is a work of art.
This replaced my cobbled together downpipe I built when my cat plugged. Butt dyno says it is effective.

I washed her and then when i was drying it it started raining outside so i pulled it in the garage and finished drying it. I also change the oil in my mom and dads venture and restored the headlights and possibly fixed the trans issue my dad was having.
I was really ticked off earlier, so when I got in the car I beat the living crap out of the steering wheel and had a temper tantrum/crying moment.
Then I had a problem...I was still pissed, and my hands/wrists hurt.
Other than that....whipped it around a corner in the rain and super wet pavement, and drove it to/from work.
I washed it. The car is no longer cruddy brown, its black again.
Drove to and from school and found the Ipod from one of the kids that I give a ride home to. Needless to say I was jamming out to some songs that were on it and questioning others. In the meantime I am waiting for the roads to dry and for it to be nice for a few days so i can wash the thing. It is somewhat white.
Well I aired up the tires last night. They were at 18psi so they were a smidgen low.. And then today I drove it, determine the HUD is in fact dimming and needs a fixin. So if anyone's done that and has some tips, please share. Also ordered a Auto Craft Gold battery for it for $80 and I shall pick it up tomorrow. I got the freshly painted (Thank you Aaron and OC) filler plate in the mail today as seen below, and the aeroforce came in as well. The pictures just do NOT do justice for the paint job, it's really gorgeous in person. Favoritest color ever.
And surprisingly, the trans has acted fine all this week. It's weird how intermittent the problem truly is. But nonetheless, a PCM shall be ordered very soon regardless, problem always manages to come back.
Projectors came in the mail![]()
