Cut the O2 bung out of some old exhaust and welded it into my headers crossover so i can finally get some upstream readings that help my car not run so rich

I doubt that has anything to do with the cold. According to a quick google it is 18* where you're at. It was -7 here the other day and I turned my traction control off and the button is fine.

Yea that what I'm guessing since it has gxp seats. I think it's hilarious though. I wonder if they did that in purpose or actually thought that was the actual bumper for the gxp haha

Yeah they probably crashed it and couldn't find a gxp cover. I saw the fender vents too, the bumper was the only thing non-gxp.

For the first time in a month or so, I took a Saturday night cruise in the GTP. Nothin special, just really glad to be somewhat past our latest skirmish and to a point where the routine can resume. Wrist is stronger and moving better but still not fixed and work hurts it.

Purple car still parked at the shop, ended up there from doing shuttle duty. She can snooze until we get a warm snap.
All Grand Prix, all the time. 69 Model J, 99 GT & GTP coupes. All junk, haha.

Decided to start the impala since it's been sitting for about a month. Still fired right up.
Still wanted to keep it on a battery tender so I fixed the broken one I got for free. It was run over, and caused the board to short out on the body, blowing the internal unservicable fuse. Desoldered it and soldered in my own fuse. Seems to work just fine

Oh and also fixed my torpedo heater today, new igniter and air filter kit.

Oil change and right front wheel bearing.

Forgot to pay attention cuz when I pulled the car off the ramps, the TRAC OFF light was on. Forgot to plug the ABS wire. No biggie, I'll just crank the wheel and get at it. Nope. Up in the air she goes, pull the wheel, only to find that the harness on the Delco bearing is to short and won't even clip mount properly. Had to rig it with some zap straps. Then a neighbour comes by and wants to chat me up, so an hour later I finally got the car back on the ground.

Tore all the wiring apart on the driver side, pulled the battery, and cleaned all the connections. Then I installed the HID harness for the retros and put everything back together...without headlights. Now that it's finally starting to get dark it started snowing. I hate you winter.

    Cursed at it, nicely.

CEL went off this morning on the way to church. Checked it after and its P0521 Oil pressure sensor/switch range/performance. Reset it and drive to Fort Wayne and it goes off again, and I learn that it is also preventing it from going into 4cyl mode. Then a turn signal bulb goes out.

Get back to Lee's, check oil and reset code again and throw in a new signal bulb. Then I get home and it has since came back on, and now I can't get it to reset. So looks like no remote start for me until I get it replaced. Oil level was fine and according to torque oil pressure was between 80-85. I can't find what the acceptable range is for it, and why they don't put OP gauges in cars anymore is silly IMO.

I think she's mad at me because I haven't been very nice for a few weeks. No bath as it's been below freezing for the past I've lost count number of days.
We are both over winter at this point

That failure is very common, sounds like the sensor is dead. I'd make sure it's not leaking out the top of aswell.

But I don't recall the exact spot on the motor of a LS4.

As for oil pressure, the DOD/AM motors run less oil pressure than a non dod/afm motor. 55-60psi cold idle, 30-40 hot idle and 40-45 while cruising. DoD lifters "request" less oil pressure, atleast that what GM says. Older 5.3's from 99-06 in the trucks/vans or 5.7/6.0's in cars would run at 55-60psi warm while driving.

It's luckily right on top/side on "driver side" of the motor. Looks pretty easy. I'm going to pick up a sensor today and hopefully get it swapped. We checked it last night and didn't see anything wet. I'll check again when I get to work.
It sounded like a pretty common one in my research last night.
