It didn't take much to pressure you.

Just wait till Red finds out what you might be doing to the GP....
    2019 F150 XL - Make it run 12's N/A
    2012 F150 STX
    - Gonna be a race truck
    02 GT "Slowkar" 180k - Top Swap, Gen V, TOG Headers, 1.9s, e85, 3.25. It's literally the slowest e85 car ever....

A full syn oil is just far better in the way it can lube parts and has more cleaners, thats what takes away sludge and build up holding leaks back. Has better wear protection when engines are cold.

Flow rate on the other hand is increased with synthetic oils, which is key in helping with cold starts.
I realize its viscosity. What I should have said is SLICKER but a lot of us just say thinner lol. I should have been clearer. Sorry for the confusion. Synthetic oil has smaller molecules which allow the oil to get into smaller areas which can produce leaks. Also with the molecules being smaller, it cuts down friction which allows the engine to last longer provided it’s well maintained.

Replaced the pitman arm on the neighbors blazer. Pita, you have to remove the gearbox and replace the arm on the bench. Luckily I used his garage and brought my own torpedo heater and got it to a comfortable 60 degrees. Doing the other tie rod tomorrow.

Dad dropped off a 01 voyager at my house yesterday that he picked up with 127K miles on it for $400. Thought the brakes were bad but turns out they were only slightly sticking. Cleaned and greased them and it's all good to go now. Gave it a once over and tried to spin tires and the 2.4L wouldn't even chirp them.

I used a pitman arm puller lol. Problem is the gearbox is right above the frame, and it has to be removed.

See how the nut is right dead center above the frame? The frame isn't going anywhere lol

No way were you doing it still bolted in. Maybe you took the mounting bolts off the gearbox, and pushed it up enough to get at it, but at that point why struggle with the frame that's still making it tight. 2 more steps and its out.

A blazer frame is nothing like a 1500/2500 frame, thats why he was able to remove his on the vehicle.

Oh yeah no kidding. I've done a few pitman arms, this was the first time the first step wasn't to remove the pitman arm nut.

nothing looks easy to fix on them newer little blazers. plugs looked easy to change through the fender well.

Did a tranny service, replaced broken wheel stud and new rubber donuts behind the cat.

Luckily I did this at my buddy's shop. I got the wheel stud designed for non-hub removal. Still had to loosen the hub. Put the tire on and the stud is so short I can barely catch a thread. Ordered the normal length stud and re-did the job after a long lunch break.

Put some Lucas additive in the tranny too. That chit is thick and sticky! LOL
