I'll warn you tho, when you are done using the spray bottle....rinse the nozzel part out with water or next time you use it it won't work. Stuffs kinda nasty lol.

its got some acid in it then. good. lol
D, I meant to say yesterday- dang them stars do look very nice, wow. Its strange how widely the condition you find those wheels in varies. I have some that look nearly as fresh as yours and some that look 1,000 years old. The backside being clean really makes them pop visually, I helped mine a little when I painted brakes. Unfaded center caps are important for looks too, I didn't realize how much.
Its too bad about the pregens, they did look sanitary on there. Wonder what that scrapped car would have driven like with the TSs on it?
Put it in a local car show known locally as the "Moonlight Madness car Show" here in Wichita. There are a surprising amount of imports and newer makes. Kindle a breath of fresh air from the usual car show suspects.
I reset the "Service Engine Soon" light, because although I got a couple of P0135 codes the last time I filled the gas tank up (bad O2 sensor), my fuel economy actually went up! (from ~20 to ~25 mpg). But that could just be me doing more highway driving than usual this past tank... I'll have to wait some more and see.
I did replace the gas cap a week or so ago b/c the inner seal of the cap was all cracked, which probably caused some occasional random P0440/P0442 codes to occur.
Of course somebody was bound to say that... lolMy first post here was actually a thread I started in the n00b section asking whether or not my LIM gasket was failing:

took my climate control out due to it lighting up when ever it wants to. re soldered all the little chips on the board, funny as i heated up one side they all came free, so none of them were stuck all that well.
re did these 5 chips.
and these 3 as well.
then the side mount was broken, no wonder it moved a bit. great way to make it to GM
i used a old auto zone card cut and glued to the face for more support. then glued the broken parts back on to the auto zone card. ill drill a hole tomorrow when its dry.
what the other side looks like, no wonder it broke.
with any luck this thing finally works full time again.
this is a regal fix only, so all you regal guys stay tuned.![]()
GM makes stuff with sh!tty soldering? Say it aint so?
2 words... coolant elbows
Danielle nice job. The wheels came out nice. I prefer the torque stars to the pre gens.
Scottydoggs if you are looking for a good deep wheel cleaner check out Sonax or Iron X. Meguiar's has something similar to Sonax at your local autoparts store as part of their DUB line for about $8. Any wheel cleaner will need agitation with built up brake dust.
You can see the Meguiar's in action here. Sonax, Iron X and a few others do the same thing.

I didn't do anything to my car but I did try out the new Turtle Wax trim coating on my dad's 02 camaro as the trim is notorious for turning gray. For those that are interested it's this one.
I didn't get good before shots as I was losing light. I cleaned it with Meguiar's D103 All Purpose Cleaner + and applied one coat of the trim coating. Treated the rubber seal as well which is starting to lose it's coating.
A little goes a long way. Be sure to wear gloves or it will stain your hands. I also taped off the trim to not get any on the paint. If you do get it on a spot wipe it off quick before it dries.
There are more pics here. I'm testing this trim coating with one of the big dogs.

Scotty I need to do that to dad's regal
open it up and see if you find any of them chips like mine has. being everyone want 75 bucks or more for a regal CC, i was like f this, lets play.
I think those are either resistors or diodes, they aren't chips, lol. I've always wanted to try and swap one of those HVAC head units into a GP, I think they look better.
MMMM chips
