Swapped my injectors and fuel rail to attempt to fix a problem my car is having. Tried to do a ball joint in a 99 sable and the car kicked off the stand and landed on my leg. It hurts like **** but i don't think it's broken. The only thing that saved me was that i was using a deep well socket on the ball joint and the car landed on that. Ratchet broke but better than severing my leg. I couldn't get the ball joint off so then I flashed a stock tune to my car and it made no difference so then I swapped my rail and injectors back.

and thats why i always do that push pull deal before getting under a car on stands. glad your ok.

It scared the **** out of me. I was pinned under the subframe. The girl just stood there and stared at me and her boyfriend jacked it up off my leg. I had a hell of a dent in my leg. It's starting to swell up pretty big now.

my guess is if it was broken you'd know it. xray may be a good idea tho. just in case.

Yesterday when I bought my rims and tires we pulled an engine for my friend, it was a 3.8 for his 2000 GP GT. Today we pulled the valve cover and everything looked fantastically clean. We decided to pull the oil pan and check out the bottom end, and started by pulling the A\C bracket and motor mount bracket. The A\C bracket covered this perfectly....

Well, I have a conclusion to my problems from yesterday.

As I said I went ahead and ordered a rear wheel bearing from Advance. I picked it up then went to my uncle's place. He already had my cousin's Mustang out of the garage/shed so I pulled right in. The first thing we did was try to find the metallic noise. Took the right front wheel off, looked around at stuff, cut the wheel both ways and rotated it and could see nothing hitting. We thought maybe the anti-rattle clip was just catching the rotor, so we bent it a little, put the wheel back on, took it for a ride, and the metallic noise was still there. Pulled it back in, took the wheel back off, and decided to pull rotor and everything. I immediately spotted the issue. The damn "bracket" that bolts between the hub and spindle must have bent ever so slightly on the piece that sticks out toward the bottom and the rotor was rubbing it on left hand turns. I have no idea why that piece is even there, it holds nothing on my car. Anyway, put it back together, took it for a ride to verify, and no more metallic noise.

I took both my cousin and my uncle with me to verify where the howling bearing noise was coming from. Both said right rear. This goes along with everything you would think since the noise goes away on right hand curves. Pull back in the garage, take everything apart, put brand new rear wheel bearing in, put it back together, take it for a ride...... and I STILL have a howling noise.....

We all figured, okay, the right bearing came out in good shape, so lets swap out the left bearing for the old right bearing. Did that, put it together, took the car for a ride, and .................................................. ..... silence.

CLIFFS: Metallic noise was from ABS sensor bracket. Bearing noise was fixed after changing all 4 wheel bearings, and it was the left rear the whole time.

BTW I want to thank everyone for any and all advice thrown my way, even if it wasn't the solution. I definitely needed more heads than my own on this issue.
