Drove it on terrible ass snow covered roads.
Washed her and received 4 new replacement ballasts from trs!
got to say, i like driving my car much more in the snow with snow tires this year. like night and day difference. aka the car moves.
i drove through a good foot of un plowed parking lot today, like it was nothing, even stopped and then started again to see if would go. and like a boss it moved.
I really only had one issue today on the all seasons. The road I live on comes out onto the main road about a mile or so from my house. You go down a slight dip and then up to a stop sign to turn onto the main road.
Well, I stopped at the stop sign and the damn car wouldn't get going again. Then again, there was 5 or 6 inches of snow on my road, plus the little bit of snow built up from the plows that ran the main road didn't help any.
I had to back up and get a running start. Thankfully it was only 5:40 or so and I could gauge by headlights if anyone was coming so I just got going and didn't stop until I was on the main road. After that it was pretty smooth sailing.
Yeah these cars do well in the snow with at least halfway decent tires.
Today my power steering pump started whining again, it went through another reservoir of fluid. So I tried adding the lucas and guess what? I couldn't even pour the stuff. It's so thick it came out in globs so I just gave up. I'll bring it in the house and let it warm up and try again tomorrow.
I really miss the way the GP went through the snow. Never got stuck or had to stop and turn around because of a hill, and both of those have happened in my new car. I have all seasons, as I did on the gp as well.
We haven't even gotten that much snow this year either. Tomorrow we will be getting 6-8 which is the most we've had since February of last year.
Real snow tires make it a tank in the snow. I dropped it off at the transmission shop for diagnosis tomorrow.

It's those light weight economy cars with cheap (yokahama, maybe falkin) tires that do so bad in the snow its rediculous. I posted it here on the day we got our big snow storm, only had like 3 inches of unplowed snow on the ground and it just wouldn't budge. They kept getting stuck and getting out to push like every 2 feet. They were coming close to where my car was parked which was across from another parked car (so narrow space) so I quickly moved my car to the driveway in front of them, showing 0 signs of trouble getting through the same snow. I felt a little proud lol.
Iv been stuck like 5 times one I backed into a ditch.

^ lol I have seen that plenty of times
Took the front bumper off the SE to paint. If it turns out as good as Scottys did I'll post pics, if not let's forget I ever mentioned it.
i laid mine on a saw horse, that way you dont have to move or touch it. if need be put blocks under the saw horse legs to lift it higher. the one i used has adjustable legs, i had them maxed out.
only tips i can give is light coats with a 50% over lap. keep the can as even as possible with the surface with each pass. 8 to 10 inches. if a spot looks to light f it, the next coat will cover it. trying to fix stuff while painting will only get you in trouble. keeping the speed each pass is also key to how light or not your putting it down. make a few passes on cardboard, this will let you get the feel a bit. and see how much is coming out at what speeds. clear the spray tip after each coat too, turn the can upside down, and spray for like 3 to 5 seconds, then before the next coat, spray the card board before the bumper, this makes sure it wont splatter out the spray tip.
worked the sides first, when i came to the turn of the bumper i passed it right by, then cut the spray off, start spraying before the bumper and start the 50% over laps.
i did both sides, then the long ass middle part, over spraying past the turn of the bumper. so its like painting 3 parts.
always have the spray spraying as you come to your work, then stop after you passed the work. seems like a waste but its what works.
and prep, wash it good, then use a scotch bright pad or some 600 grit wet sand paper to scuff the paint up, then use duplicolor prep spray cleaner, this gets rid of any grease, tar, oil from your hands, or wax. wipe it down, let it dry, and have at it with the paint.
good luck, my the painting force be with you.
Probably my video lol ^
Put my new air bag module in. No more air bag light![]()
Had a hell of a day today. Drove all the way to perrysburg, OH to get my buddies Regal out of the tow yard (he was heading to michigan when all the studs on his driver side front wheel broke and the wheel came off) we punched some new studs in and managed to get it all the way back down to my garage in Lebanon where it'll sit until it gets a new shell to transfer the drivetrain into this weekend. We made a ton of good highway pulls on the way back and I must say, I HATE the limiter at 106 on these Regals.. So to sour up a good day at 7:15pm I lost a close family member.. I just can't seem to get a streak of good things without one big bad thing happening..
